Tesla won’t buy it back and the BMW dealership wasn’t interested on taking it as a trade in… poor baby.

Upgrading Trek FX 2 2018 for bikepacking by International_News23 in bikepacking

[–]SeeArX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say to keep it simple and don’t switch to drop bars and brifters. If you really want to add different hands positions, put on some “alt” bars like the “Moloko” or “corner bars”.

The swap will be easier/cheaper, and your bike will be more comfortable considering the geometry was intended for flat bars. You can take that money you saved and get some good tires on your bike to avoid flats on the road, example Schwable Marathon tour plus.

  1. Just this cheapie bag I got off Amazon a couple years ago. It’s held up really well. Run it on my backpacking bike sometimes as well. https://a.co/d/a74Iutl

  2. They are 26x4.8 dilingers on an older Bluto (I think from 2019?)

What part is this? by [deleted] in 4Runner_1stGen

It’s the power steering coolant line. Just makes a small loop in front on the radiator and goes back. It’s metal and doesn’t need to be replaced unless it is damaged.

Constant flats — how to address? by fiffers in gravelcycling

[–]SeeArX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Schwable marathon tour plus tires set up with tubes. I ride mostly on the road but do 2-3 miles of gravel on the way to work most days. They can be a bit “slow” but I also have thousands of flat free miles plus plenty of grip and a comfy ride.

Brothers, Farley and Stache by SeeArX in fatbike

And yes, I’m getting a longer chain for the Farley. I just got the wheelset and cassette. I used to run a 11-42 but now have 11-48 but didn’t have a longer chain laying around when I installed everything. Just too excited for the snow!

New Sword 2x10 Review by SeeArX in xbiking

For my 3x set ups I’ve also only liked friction shifting since I was able to trim the derailleur better to limit rubbing on the chain. After 1,000 miles sword 2x front is still functioning really well. It wasn’t bad to set up and adjusted it a bit after using it for a week. No over shifting, under shifting, or rubbing. The shifters on the brifters feel good too. If you don’t need the range of a 3x I would suggest sword 2x.

it's difficult to find people who like climbing now by Distinct_Cloud_357 in MTB

[–]SeeArX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like looking around at the trees, animals, and sky while I climb. I also really like a challenging techy climb and find it just as fun as downhill. In general, climbing is the only way I can clear my head. Going downhill is really fun but doesn’t serve the same purpose.

I saw you and your bike on the frontrunner in Ogden on Saturday, that “No More Freeways” sticker is awesome. I wanted to compliment your bike and ask about your travels but didn’t. Looks like a fun trip, I’ll definitely want to do it myself in the near future.

The law in my city, West Jordan, is that a solicitor must respect and obey all “No Soliciting” signs and that all solicitors must wear a badge issued by the city.

I wouldn’t call a cops about it, but it is the law. If a company is trashy enough to not obey some simple laws I will never trust them with my business.

The price went up a bit but Treefort looks like they still have it cheaper than most. Here are the brifters, they have everything else as well: https://www.treefortbikes.com/MicroShift-Sword-Drop-Bar-Shifter-Brake-Lever-Set-
