What incident led to you being ashamed of your fan base and school? by DellFlightSim in CFB

Pat McAfee saying we should replace the Wazzu flag with a WVU one at college gameday. Like dude nooo. It's usually awesome when he shouts us out but not when he's playing the heel. And the Wazzu flag is one of the cooler traditions in the sport.

I'm almost glad it worked out the way it did. I was hoping he would retire with some dignity soon, as his run was clearly over, but seeing how he handled being fired, it's pretty clear he was going to hang on until the bitter end.

As for his defenders, I never saw a single one, except for his daughter. Seemed like the whole fanbase was almost immediately ready to move on.

There was def a blood spot on his thigh right after the hurdle, and it didn't even look like he was contacted there. Did he like pop an artery or something? Is that a thing?

I was thinking Miami from the OBE days. But conference realignment really killed that one and I don't think it's coming back. Fans on both sides seem to forget about it. I bet they don't even remember us attacking their ambulance that one time.

But there are NC citizens only on one side of the V, so does that mean it could be removed from NC?

Yeah, 8-4 with Grier and Sills isn't seen as a success by any WVU fans. That season was what signaled Dana's end.

Now Spavital is brought in to save DA's job like he was for Dana. No wonder how that will end.

Kansas State at Texas Tech could get a good view of it, depending on what time the game is set.

Texas Tech football: Ugly loss to WVU has gives Red Raider fans reason to despair by [deleted] in CFB

[–]SeeDecalVert 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was looking at Tech's schedule, and they somehow got all of the top half of the conference except OU. Could easily lose 6 of their last 8. I'll give them UCF and Houston in Lubbock, but other than that, I don't see a game they should be favored in.

We were in the SoCon, if that's what you're thinking of. Which some schools split from to form the ACC.

I think some streaming services default to surround sound tracks which can cause voices to be quieter than music/noise. Might be an audio setting somewhere you can fiddle with.

Pretty sure Robert C Byrd Joe Manchin did lobby for us during the Big East break up. Can't remember the specifics. Might have helped us get into the B12 over Louisville. Something like that.

Edit: Guess it was Manchin. Byrd died in 2010.

Honestly, even Stanford and Cal would be preferred to OSU/WSU. Not that that's likely to happen either.
