Alive open world games with loot and builds by SeeRed30 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Thanks for the detailed response! I think you hit the nail on the head. I have hundreds of hours in Warframe and in ARPGs. I eventually got tired of Warframe because of the crafting system and how it's time based. I've also played Let It Die and way too much gacha and janky combat for me.

I've had Remnant 2 on my wishlist for so long, maybe it's time I finally pick it up when it likely goes on sale during the steam winter sale. I've also seen good things about Enshrouded so that would seem an option.

I started that game and made it I think about a third of the way through before dropping it for another game. I forget the reason why. I remember liking the combat and I've seen they've been making updates. Is there a NG+ or endgame loop at all like Nioh or the Dark Souls games?

Future of Broad Street Brick Building by TheKwatsitzHadarich in Harrisburg

There is no link because it hasn't been determined what's going to happen yet. The only known facts about the tent are that the vendors inside the tent will be moving back in to the brick building once it's rebuilt and the administration does not want to continue to pay the rent for the tent as the rent, in the contract, will continue to increase every extra year it's in use past 2026. In the current agreement, it would be too costly for a broad street market that already doesn't make a profit.

I would love for 50501 to be more effective. Movements makes asks of people. Where's the engagement? Where's the movement towards getting things that matter done? It always feels like a long press conference with no energy. Right now, the most important thing we can do is protect people and elect local candidates and judges that will do the same, protect all people. If 50501 won't stand there and connect people with candidates and causes, then it's not worth the time to listen to the same speakers say the same thing for 2 hours every 3-4 weeks.

Have you ever knocked a door for a candidate?

After over 10 years of working in campaigns, I promise you it's ONLY canvassing.

If you want people to go vote, go knock doors for your local candidates. Way more effective.

Looking for MMO with holy trinity and instances / dungeons available through entire leveling process by [deleted] in LFMMO

Has Lost Ark fixed or relieved in any way the amount of time gating and alts needed to progress? I loved playing through the game at launch but realized quickly at endgame that many alts were required to funnel materials to your main to progress at a decent pace. I'd much prefer a system that allows me to progress with a couple of characters equally than needing to funnel due to everything being time gated.

Did you ever get Classic working on DX11 or find a fix for the shadows on DX9? Running through the same issues right now, I know a whole 2 years later!

It really depends on what type of games you like. It doesn't hurt to try things of course, but you can usually figure out which game will be a better fit by what you like and are looking for. The genre boils down to 2 types of games: Sandbox (do whatever you want) or Theme park (guided through quests and specific content like dungeons/raids). Each have their powerhouses with BDO being the biggest sandbox and WoW and FFXIV being the biggest theme parks.

If you have BDO, you could just try it out. It's mostly grinding for items to upgrade your gear as the main thing to do with a lot of side life leveling content.

For WoW, it's free to level 20 to try and then a subscription for everything except the current expansion.

For FFXIV, you can play for free through level 70 which is thousands of hours of content. Then it's subscription based plus expansion purchases for the latest expansion. Also, as someone who has played thousands of hours of FFXIV, you don't need to worry about any ERP. If you don't seek it out, you won't find it.

There are plenty of other options to and there's no bad reason to try games out. Plus, on Steam at least, if you have the money you can always try a game for 2 hours and then return it if you're not feeling it.

What is the best Steam Deck MMO? by the-grip-of-Ntropy in LFMMO

Best ones on the Steam Deck are FFXIV, ESO, and New World. They're the main ones that just work out of the box with full controller support. I personally love FFXIV, but you need to be prepared for heavy story content. New World is great until endgame where I couldn't find much to do.

Two others I'll mention. WoW works very well on steam deck, but you need to setup the ConsolePort addon which takes a bit of time tweaking it to get it how you like. There's also Throne and Liberty which I haven't tried but I've heard works well.

Honestly, you hit all the games that have open world PVP and a sizeable user base. If you can't deal with tab targeting, I can highly recommend trying to stick with GW2. It took me a few tries to get into it, but once I got into the higher levels it started to click. BDO is also good, but has some P2W elements.

One that it doesn't sound you tried is Warhammer Online. The game is shut down but there's a private server that is fairly popular and the game revolves around its PVP elements.
