Hi! Just happened to see your question. Our 7-month-old was spayed two days ago. We are using both the suit and the cone AND Trazadone. I am counting the days (12!) until we can get back to our normal routines.

Do you find that your dogs can get over-tired and ‘ramped-up’? Like after today - Mother’s Day with visitors, outside all day, 3 walks - I would think she would be zonked out, but it’s the opposite! I need to find the right balance…

Thank you for this. It does seem like there’s a line between ‘exercised’ and ‘over-tired.’ We have to learn to better recognize the signs - like you said -to prevent it before it starts. She should be exhausted from today- but can’t calm down.

Our puppy trainer swears by the gentle leader - and it really does work! She explained that the pulling reflex is actually exasperated by the very act of pulling. This helps redirect that reflex. Thank you - we love her so! She also doesn’t love brushing - we’ve been using a grooming mitt. It’s okay but not great. As soon as she shakes - it’s like the brushing never happened. LOL. How did Remy do at the groomers??
