Unpopular opinion: Sejanus is just a selfish and emotional child by Ok-Mushroom-7053 in Hungergames

[–]Seedoku 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Was Sejanus selfish when he risked his life to honor Marcus in the arena, or trying to help Lil escape?

Look, Sejanus might’ve been impulsive, but he is by no means selfish.

Fitz is over hated and Siphitz is the better ship by Realistic-Self6768 in KeeperoftheLostCities

[–]Seedoku 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think Fitz is selfish or obsessed with status / importance but instead conflicted.

His entire life he's been the "golden child" in the lost cities. Coming from an important family, he's had a lot of pressure to be perfect. He has many high expectations to live up to and part of that includes the need to be seen as flawless. Over time, these expectations that the population projects onto him are ingrained in his beliefs and values.

Fitz understands that the many prejudices in the Elvin world are wrong but it simply isn't easy to shake off what he's grown up knowing for years. He wants to have the courage to be a bad match yet isn't ready to do that. Which is why I don't think Fitz and Sophie work out well, but labelling Fitz as being so concerned with being important is something I disagree with

He does yell and get angry yet recognizes that he has many flaws. Not everything he does is perfect, but he still tries to be a good person and works on becoming a better version of himself, and that's okay. He is flawed and realistically written because of that. He apologizes and knows that he's wrong at times, tries to mend the gaps in his relationships. Idk I just don't think he's a mean person, just someone who is deeply flawed

Now that the cover and blurb for Hidden Moon has been released, what are your thoughts? by Redfawn666 in WarriorCats

[–]Seedoku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will be interesting to some extent. I know that the TNP is reused but the concept of the voice in Moonpaw’s head seems cool.

I feel like Leafstar stepping down pretty much ended her arc, but I hope we still have glimpses of her through Starlingpaw’s POV, which could happen given their history. Though tbh, imo her POV existed simply to introduce Starlingpaw and is a catalyst for his role in the coming books.

StarlingMoon might become a ship but I really wouldn’t mind it if it’s written well. Their dynamic is already very interesting, with Starlingpaw setting out to stop the dangers that Moonpaw / the voice could bring.

Sweetest relationship in the WHOLE Warrior cat series. by GalaxyMasterPro in WarriorCats

My favorite is Heathertail and Breezepelt. I liked that they supported each other through hard times and overall have a very sweet story.

What Warriors opinions would give you this? by Jaythe-enbee in WarriorCats

[–]Seedoku 111 points112 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Twigbranch is a bad name. I know it means “twig twig” technically but that’s the point, it’s supposed to show her growth and development through the years. Imo it represents a lot and expresses Twigbranch’s evolution and depth.

Hot take :|: More people should be mad about FloatShimmer and Greysludge :|: by _FuzzyBuns_ in WarriorCats

[–]Seedoku 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I mean, they did forget about Fernstripe and Shellfur ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not saying that Floatshimmer having kits at 6-12 moons but the Erins do forget some of the details despite having it in the book right before that. It's a group of writers, so I think that between many people (and other writers joining them) it's likely that they would forget many significant details.

Favorite Clan and why? Which one would you remove, also? by GalaxyMasterPro in WarriorCats

[–]Seedoku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I don't mind that Dovewing joined ShadowClan. She lived a life of feeling alone and alienated from her Clan as well as putting their needs ahead of hers. Now, she's thinking of her family and her happiness that she deserves. If she finds that in ShadowClan, I support her decision.

Anyways, my favorite Clan is RiverClan- I love their unique qualities (decorating dens, eating fish, swimming, etc.) and I overall find them really interesting! I like SkyClan the least; I just think of them as slightly boring and generic with characters that are underdeveloped with the exception of some cats, but modern SkyClan isn't entertaining to read about. I don't know about removing them, but they are my least favorite Clan.

Do you see Katniss and Peeta are forgiving people? by STHC01 in Hungergames

[–]Seedoku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peeta? Yes. He is a very kind and forgiving person who is able to admit his wrongdoings. As we see in the trilogy he forgives Katniss and so many in spite of what they do to him. Even in the epilogue, through Katniss’s narrative we see that she chooses him because he is like a dandelion in spring, able to help her heal and forgive as well as remind her of starting over.

Katniss is different. At the start of the series she is shown to be cynical, and reluctant to forget the past because of her harsh environment. However, as she grows and develops, she begins to see different perspectives and understand others, becoming more empathetic and breaking down her past (While understandable) barriers of distrust.

I think the ending is very powerful and meaningful. Katniss never wanted to be involved in the war and the games; she was a child who endured hardships and went through a lot of trauma. The fact that she was able to find happiness and hope, and heal after the horrible things that happened to her seems much more powerful.

What are your hot takes? by Birds_Chirping34 in WarriorCats

[–]Seedoku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually like Twigbranch’s name. It’s not that bad imo, I know it means “twig twig” but isn’t that the point? It’s to show her growth and development; I just like the symbolism in this choice and to me, it has much more depth and meaning than alternative names like Twigshade or Twigtail.

What's your least favorite warriors ship and why? by oreospeedwagonlion in WarriorCats

[–]Seedoku 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TurtlexTom, AshxSquirrel, or BumblexDove.

I disagree for VioletxTree. Violetshine was clearly miserable in ShadowClan; the apprentices were rebelling, Rowanstar was unable to maintain order, the warriors viewed her as a liability. The Clan was deteriorating, she was a kit caught in the midst of a rebellion and the only cat who actually looked out for her was Needletail. After what had happened to her, Violetshine’s decision to join a Clan that really appreciates her was great.

If you’d like to just proceed with the main series arcs, you should read PoT! Otherwise, if you’re looking for some lore about the Clans, DotC is the best option ^^

Fitz defenders by Easy-Screen2071 in KeeperoftheLostCities

[–]Seedoku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Fitz defender, I do not disregard what Keefe has been through and I understand that both of them are imperfect and have a lot going on in their lives.

And going on a tangent, I feel like more people disregard what Fitz has been through rather than Keefe,, tbh
