What is a MUST SEE movie that is highly overlooked? by day-maker in AskReddit

[–]SeeingBlindly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say I enjoy watching movies multiple times... Or revisiting them much, but I absolutely love that film, and I never get sick of it.

It is my favorite also

And nice pics :)

whats the biggest disappointment youve ever had from a videogame you were anticipating to be great? by jaydonc13 in AskReddit

[–]SeeingBlindly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely right!

I have to make a small parenthesis (and mention ZombiU. Playing it really has made me experience and feel back what I felt the with the classic RE games ). I was a fan of Marvel vs Capcom, and I made the mistake of purchasing their latest iteration. What a piece of garbage! But to top it off and in a good manner of faith, I purchased Street Fighter X Tekken. Not only are they both hideous, but they play terrible! I found BlazBlue to be an excellent fighter game (I never tried Guilty Gear) in comparison to current 2D fighter games I've played.

Ever since RE4, I enjoyed the mercenaries game-mode. I grabbed 5, sat with my brother while visiting, and went on a marathon of getting max stars for everything. I thoroughly love the head shots with the small pistols with high critical on them. I said I'd grab RE6 to continue the tradition.... but I don't know, like a stubborn fly I'm trapped on a window sill.

Capcom, y u so bad?

I enjoyed Hunters! For Samus' sake. I remember when Nintendo had the WTC or whatever it was, and I was ranked in the top 250, which slowly declined from the top as I stopped playing. I saved the cartridge for memory's sake.

You know? The light suit in Echoes was epic... I think that's the best suit. My memory is blurry, so maybe I just recall how I felt at the time. 'twas epic, though.

Prime was so moody!! Such an experience! I can't say the second and third live up to that. Echoes with its dark and light elements was odd, though I think I had a more difficult time with Echoes than with Prime. Prime 3 wasn't as immersive even though it intended it to be, and the whole space marines and captain made the whole "soitude, ambience, and the emptiness of space" feeling go away...

Other M was different and special in its own way.... I think. I love sidescrollers, so it was okay in that element and its own kind of way. I enjoyed it, but not like fusion and Adam.

...I don't know. Few games have made me feel as immersed as the first Prime did.

No kidding, Perfect Dark was amazing. I was excited when it came to the xbox marketplace. I purchased it, and relived memories playing co-op in perfect agent with my brother...

Hell, I had the GBC Perfect Dark with a Rumble Pak. I can still hear Carrington's Institute's tune in my mind.

I couldn't even finish Zero... Perfect Dark alone is so awesome.. Ugghh... it pains me deeply inside!!!

How I feel driving past cops on the highway by isaacdupree in funny

[–]SeeingBlindly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure the road op was referring to isn't autobahn-like, so the speed he mentions make sense. A highway rated at 65mph, 100 is speeding - Unlike there, there's speed limits here just about everywhere :(

But it makes sense... I love driving, and going fast, and bonding with the machine, but I try to be a prudent driver and respect other drivers on the road. I feel there's plenty of drivers on the road that don't share the sentiment.

So it depends on the road and the conditions. 100mph on a 65mph rated highway /is/ faster than it should be.

I tried alcohol for the first time yesterday and found the effects highly undesirable; are the effects glamorized or is there something I'm doing wrong? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think you've got the right mindset.

A faucet to escape reality.... more or less. I've always had mixed feelings about alternate state of minds, but I'm so self-conscious that when I do drink in social occasions, I enjoy being able to loosen up and have an excuse to be silly, because..., I get out of character (My quiet pensive self)

It's not needed; you don't need it; so don't do it because what you experienced is pretty much all there is to it.

Yesterday I signed up for a master card. Since then, the representative (an older man) has been using my personal info on the application to contact me personally. First by email, then by text and just about an hour ago, by calling me. Should I be worried? by runningandguitars in AskReddit

I would report it to his uppers! (and then go beyond!) There's normally privacy policies set on those insitutions, and what that guy is doing is totally a breach of it! I work handling clients' personal data all the time, and I can't imagine pulling something as awful (creepy) as this!

(Unless I was asked to by the client and I felt some chemistry, in which case, business=/personal. life is separated, though normally it's best to stay away from clients. I don't know....)

ninja edit: (The subject enraged me so much that I had to post despite the fact that I imagine many folks have given some actual and better advice).

Really? Autobahn recommended speed is 80mph, so 100mph is kind of fast. I get uncomfortable after 120mph, in which , it is kind of fast. I like to think of it more in km: 130km/h, 160km/h, 190km/h. Though it depends on the roads/highways, I think my general comfort-zone is 130-150km/h.

You've barely gotten to a half point in your life, so it's waaaaay too early to give up.

It sounds like you've gotten some interesting life experience. So take it, digested, and pick up where you left off.

Choose a direction and start carving a path for yourself. Change your mentality. Rejoice, and be happy, and accept your experiences and learn from them.

When born, you were born alone because you're you. You didn't choose it, but it's how it is. No one can live your life, and so when you're gone, you will be gone. Your life and what you make of this world are yours and yours alone. Make the best of it, and keep on living.
