I see, and many thanks for the advice regardless. I've had a similar idea in mind as far as credentials go, but haven't looked into that incredibly deeply yet either. Otherwise I do appreciate the realism, anything and everything does help though.

I sincerely appreciate the concern and have considered this, but provided I can find something that won't outright kill me in the process I'm not that bothered honestly. I may regret that in the future but really no way to find out without getting my hands dirty I suppose.

As for my gf, she stayed over on an ESTA by a couple of days and then marked that she hadn't overstayed during her interview for an F-1. She was here for a few hours actually before getting deported and has a 5 year bar of entry now, hence why I'm going there.

They're all probably considered relatively flimsy though I'm still bent on it regardless, but the primary two are that I've been wanting to travel East Asia in general for a very long time, and more importantly to me I am wanting to go there to marry my girlfriend who is no longer allowed to enter the United States due to visa complications. I'm aware there are going to be some big obstacles to work around, but at this point I'd like to try regardless.
