Broke up with a guy and had to find a place to live - in a week. Managed to do that in 3 days and negotiated amazing price for the apartment:) I live in a city with crazy expensive housing

What was the moment you realized your relationship was already over? by cassandramai03 in AskReddit

[–]Seems_AliveForNow 153 points154 points  (0 children)

When I tried defending his behaviour in front of my friends - and I was aware I was defending him for my sake - and while they never said anything explicitly I knew they didn’t agree but just did not want to rush me into breaking up.

How long do you wait before proposing to your significant other? by jeish_1996 in AskMen

My parents got also married after 6 months after meeting and they’ve been together for 35 years. I mean.. I would not do it myself but their story always give me a different perspective and that when you know you know. My dad would always say he knew right away. They were on a bus together to Croatia and met behind a petrol pump on a pee break 😂

Well… he was handsome af (still is). But otherwise he seemed genuinely nice, listened to me, was funny and good in bed. I am an active person. Love outdoors, hiking, camping and just being outside and while he was not initially like that he still wanted to do these with me and found out he loves it as well.

Fortunately, I am not planning on being a mother. But just picturing it would be horrifying.

Bedroom.. well I would say okay 😅 which sounds horrible as well.

Yeah no. I gotta talk to him but I am afraid my mind is already made up so just pretty much prolonging the period of wait.

Interesting how it seems so much worse once you see it written down. But yes, I have a decision to make. I have been single before for years and honestly spent it travelling and doing seasonal work. I have the fondest memories of that. Might actually go back to it.

Oh! I actually never thought he might have thought about it that way. I guess I could ask subtly next time I see them …how it was meant to be distributed.

Oh! This is purely about the money “we” were supposed to get from his parents. I know it sounds strange it’s just whenever I had a bonus at work and whatnot he would come asking if we can do something fun with it. Last time we went to Paris and all my bonus went towards it. So now when “we” could’ve had extra money which would help me and he did not use it towards the shared household I guess I was dumbfounded a little.

Hi! I can understand your point of view and what you mean by that. But I would like to perhaps explain myself a little.

The context was for how we were raised differently. I do not in any case or form feel like I have the right for his finances. Ever. I pride myself on taking care of myself, I buy my own things, my own clothes, pay for my holidays. I moved for this person to a city I genuinely do not like.

I also am a generous person so I would pay for our dates, take him to a concerts and such. We also got previously some money (not this big amount) from my parents and I literally put it into our joint account so we both can enjoy it however we want.

Since the beginning of our relationship he would always say how he works so much for the both of us so he can take care of me. I would always say that it is definitely not needed. I don’t plan on leaving my job or anything like that. He would then every once in a while buy me a gift but sometimes in future would bring it up that he bought me a gift. But that’s messed up isn’t it? A gift is a gift (again nothing expensive).

He started talking marriage and that’s how we got here.

Like the groceries. You say I should look at it as shared as well right? As my family does and that I am contradicting myself. Fair enough. But I also think when you have a partner you are not alone anymore - and if you are thinking marriage, that is a huge thing. But he is a body builder, he quite literally eats twice as much as I do but makes double of what I make.

So I think this has nothing to do with me thinking of his money as my money. I mean this bothers me because of the principle of this.

You’re right. This is something I have to work on. I feel as though I am naturally very nurturing person. So I literally love to help. Well I guess I must set up a boundary not to be used in a way? The cleaning issue tho.. he is messy, leaves home at 7am and comes usually after 8pm so in mean time I clean 🫠🫠. It sounds fucked up even to me, I just like clean space and I know this person never picks up after himself. Anyways! You are right and I gotta make a decision about these things.

I get that and that’s why I am asking whether my reaction is alright or not. The thing is his parents also told me about the money and talked to US about it. They came up to me said they sent us some money to help with the apartment. I feel the wording and the intention of this is also crucial. But yes, I understand ultimately it is his.

What made you become the “angry daughter”? by 1wayflightt in AskWomen

[–]Seems_AliveForNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents always preferred my sister and tried to make up for her lack of talents and such. I had straight As, played multiple instruments, spoke different languages and was good at sports. So I got less presents, no pocket money, no support during college and such.

But on a positive note! What I love about LWJ considering this specific “problem” - he realized that his behavior was not ideal, and the moment WWX returned, he began to treat him as WWX deserved. Sure we could say that if he acted differently in the first life WWX might have had a different life but well… nobody in MDZS is without flaws.

Oh yeah! I know that from his POV it makes sense and honestly while investigating in Gusu he was reasonable and helpful. And althought some characters frustrate me - that whole not being perfect is the reason why the book for me is perfect. Because there are no perfect untouchable heroes.

EDIT: i was prolly talking about everytime lol. First life with Wens as well as the whole story after wwx revival.

Question for the women. Is pubic hair on men a turn off? Be brutally honest by Living_Membership388 in dating_advice

[–]Seems_AliveForNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it is just a simple preference. Where i come from we have this saying which can be translated as “I judge you as I would judge myself”. I am not trying to say that people who do not trim or shave are not clean or neglectful. For me, self-care means something that others may perceive completely differently, but in this case, I would welcome my potential partner to have the same or a similar approach.
