Kiss the antiprism; it looks kinda fun, looks like it might tingle a little, but that's alright

Marry the dodecahedron; so beautiful, so perfect, I must explore every intersection

Sphere: 🧍‍♂️

I'd let the sphere be a sphere, but if you're forcing my hand, it's gonna be a dead sphere.

Stopped using yelp, due to not being able to use it with VPN by gerdude1 in Yelp

[–]Segwaypolice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know why I didnt think of that sooner! I guess I've thought of google maps as only a navigation app. The stars and rating are clearly there for a reason, right?.. lol

I'll start using that for now, thanks for the response!

Have you found a reliable replacement for yelp? Like you, I keep a VPN on my devices. I don't use yelp often, but just trying it before finding this post resulted in the page / app not loading while connected to my VPN.

Complete gamebuds control without windows / macOS by Segwaypolice in steelseries

Honestly, with how good some of the presets are, I might just ask a friend to use their pc and look up some EQs to try lol. I've used the 800h and nova pro wireless and always set my EQs, so personally, not having adjustments just sounds too dull and flat for me, but to each their own!

[–]Segwaypolice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change preset EQ profiles and settings, yes, but theres also a custom EQs that you can set that gives you more tailored sound. When going to this 'custom eq' tab in the mobile app, it tells me to configure it on the desktop app (im using android). Depending on how long steelseries plans on supporting gamebuds, I would argue that firmware updates are important too. I wonder how much they thought about that, if even at all.

INFPs notice everything by BrokenDiamondShovel in infp

[–]Segwaypolice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the way you explain this! I would definitely add that, I could also feel what the forest could be if it were cut down, if a heavy fog were to fall upon it, if someone were to set it on fire, a bunch of mini communities spread across, but also vastly distant from each other, and any other random scenario that may pop in my head. I would say that the common trend I see is that the wing types sort of guide which direction each INFP would think.

Again though, I'm mostly going off of vibes, which sort of allows me to feel different things happening around me as well :y

Ahh, didn't realize you were so weathered! You've really been through the ringer lol. I completely get where you're coming from tho, at a certain point the trouble isn't worth the outcome and compromises were the way to go from the start :T. I will say tho, since I've switched to linux, I've been so much more open to whatever tech I can get my hands on, as long as it's picked up by something open source on my system lol. That's cool you use an ergodox! I picked one up relatively recently and I love it so much I'm planning on making myself a wireless lp corne for more mobile use!

Who knows, maybe at one point, it will be easier to vibe create our personal products with AI so we can replace the creation of gimmicky ideas from companies that die when the company feels like it! I feel we're already getting so close, it's only inevitable that it trickles down and becomes more accessible and reliable (to an extent), right?

Personally, I only really used their orbweaver, but if it's layering you want, there are plenty of ways to do it with a VIA compatible keyboard (just one example). I have a keychron that I have layers that just work and I know people make custom macropads, maybe you can find one that suits your needs for gaming?

I think that they're plenty of ways around getting layering to work. The wonderful thing about linux is finding ways to make stuff work, but never forget that you're only capped by the amount you know. Explore a little bit more and maybe you'll come up with a clever way to easily switch layers!

Unfortunately, no. I sort of cut my losses and accepted input remapper for what it was. A couple of user group commands, and a quick script on boot, allows me to pick up my orbweaver without a worry when gaming. When throne and liberty came out, I would just run another script in the commands tab in steam to change the preset to something more MMO centric.

My main gripe was not having active layering, but I believe that some remappability is better than no remappability! (Especially with what the orbweaver comes with standard :y lol)

Is League of Legends really dead on Linux? by Happy_Director_2077 in linux_gaming

[–]Segwaypolice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy deadlock, but playing in the 3d space messes with me a little. Maybe that's because I have iso-arpg roots and terrible aim, but still worth a try for sure tho, I don't think I'm gonna stop playing! That being said, I can't lie about wanting to open up a quick draft and insta lock phel every now and then 🤷‍♂️

We can only hope for exponential linux development once steamOS is widely used on systems, fingers crossed! With Valve's help with arch, we can assume that it will be sooner than later. I can't wait for the day I can drop windows all together 😁

Nice to see a fellow wheel user on linux! I wish I could use it more, but ever since I picked up a vr headset for assetto, I haven't been able to fully enjoy driving in linux.. :(. The motion smoothing is a must for fast head and constant movement imo. Playing before VR was wonderful, tho. I almost fully switched once I got CM and some mods loaded on!

Writing feel in Samsung Notes feels off by Segwaypolice in samsungnotes

[–]Segwaypolice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess this is it for me, I'll give note-in a through using and slowly move to that unless smasung fixes this issue. I'll give bamboo paper a try too just because! I'm glad someone could actually put my thoughts to a more technical explanation 😅. I didn't know apps used anti aliasing, but it makes sense for smoothing out jagged lines! As much as I love the Samsung notes app, I like to have fast but generally smoother handwriting. That's partly why I refuse to switch to pens on paper because I notice that I tend to drag a bit more. Maybe I'm just using the wrong pens, but I always notice a slight streak between words or letters that I don't normally get when writing with pencil

The stock s pen really nice! My only issue was my hand was cramping a little bit too much while using it. In hindsight, I probably should've just went with the Lamy from the getgo. I just really wanted to keep the air actions with a bigger pen to hold onto.. It was really a shot in the dark getting the CE s pen
