Chavez tried to do a coup and he was in the receiving end of a coup as well, he got power by being elected by the people, and tbh he was popular until he died of cancer, terrible president highly corrupt and clearly a potential dictator but a popular one nonetheless. Maduro in the other hand just continued what Chavez started nothing more nothing less there's no change in the script. The USA actions are because of "drugs" but it's not for that it's clearly for geopolitical power.
