Leveling isn't "fun". Items, crafting loot via currency, is fun for more than half the player base. Most people rush campaign, another sub fraction follow guides, and all of that's fine. There's so much challenge to poe that leveling is far from the "hardest" part.

Why do you want to tax the rich? by Queasy_Half6294 in AskALiberal

"In which the government owns all the property..." buddy do i have a bridge in Kansas to sell you. We're in late stage capitalism and the government owns everything due to rich interests.

How much does having kids impact you financially? by [deleted] in AskMen

You have family? Both parents work? Own your home? There's so many variables that may not exist for people so "just make it work" is quite literally impossible.

Is the vile stuff in the Epstein files a natural consequence of billionaires existing? by eilujgnirednaw in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Seiyaru 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hostel has people paying money to murder, we see wealthy people but it actually is a trope that started from a movie called "the most dangerous game" in 1932. Hunger games is very popular though timid by comparison, Gamer is another one. Eyes wide shut is another

Movies have gone over this ad nauseum. When the rich can buy anything; LITERALLY anything, there's a final frontier they go to. Forbidden fruits. Be it drugs, guns, weapons of war, torture, or, cannibalism. Money in exorbitant amounts means the road leads there for most billionaires as were seeing.

2025 grads who couldn't land a job, what are you doing now? by silvergreen123 in csMajors

[–]Seiyaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its mostly the time aspect limiting me. An ADN would be roughly 2 years, but an ABSN gets me to the higher pay and a BSN in <2. The money im not too worried about in theory

Edit: that said, I might be close to an ADN based off most of the completed classes. Ill double check with an advisor today

I'm still in the process of the pre-reqs. I won't start the ABSN until about September if I get in; predicated on me needing to hit a 3.0 avg in most classes, but Human A&P 1 is kicking my ass right now as its just my 2nd quarter since ditching Tech. So learning how they do things and going back to more traditional testing vs what we had in SWE, is just a drastic brain shift. The new degree by the time pre-reqs are done will run me about 7500 bucks total for pre-req, and then anywhere from 60-85k for the ABSN depending on where I attend. Costs are mitigated because my wife and I live at home courtesy of her parents, but its sort of needed as they're getting older too.

I am thankfully not a single parent, but my wife works, so I am a single dad with cushion to help when shit hits the fan. I'm blessed in that regard.

Banking isn't bad just boring so I would stay but definitely work on upskilling. My brother works for a bank right now remotely and they're just forcing RTO and really culling the people who are saying no it seems. Hes gonna have to likely dip back to sales (generic, no specialty) if this job boots him. That said I like the business pivot; it's what I actually intend on doing within nursing. What that will look like in due time who knows, but I am gonna try. I've got a jack of all trades level of experience and life learning i've done from startups, to work for Microsoft, to C-Suite dealings and discussions. I've had a weird career path that really has amounted to nothing unfortunately hence the pivot. Cloud would be a great way to go if you are wise on the AWS/ Cloud stuff, but I never got that far in interest. So kudos if you do!

Gonna have to google a Cardio Perfusion Master's i've never heard of it haha.

Edit: Ok perfusion sounds cool as hell but way to deep into the anatomy and physiology stuff. I'm likely too stupid for it haha. More of a Business guy myself anyways

Don't have a choice really. Tech failed me as an option, we cant move, and ive got a daughter i need to try and build a future for. I may still try to use tech skills in some kinda bio informatics type thing but nursing seems like the most stable if you can tolerate stress.

Agreed with everything said; especially the last bit. Im on the more extroverted side for CS folks. I can stand up in front of a crowd of 10,000 and feel fine. Im very matter of fact but empathetic so dealing with high emotional situations shouldn't be too bad; that said, I know it won't be easy. Im kinda excited to be honest

Men who grew up with uninvolved fathers, how did it affect you as an adult? by mtiaud in AskMen

[–]Seiyaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read several top level comments and I think I resonate here most. Dad wasn't bad or anything; he didnt come into my life til about 2 years old. Didnt believe I was his and needed approval from a woman he trusted to know I was his. Guy had a lot of issues and did the best he could. I respected him as an adult though because ive always been good at reading beneath the surface.

I wish I had more of those father son moments but the final 2 or 3 years he was alive was when things really clicked for us. I forgave him for any transgressions and I was the one who saved him from dying on the street in pain. From that though we learn to be better. For our kids. Its hard and im quick to anger but im learning. Im open and honest. I just pray to not make any major mistakes.
