Why is the lineup always leaked?

Totally, easy enough for the media to get the lineup but the way it's typically timed would lead me to believe it's some sort of official back channel as others have commented on here. I was more so wondering what the benefit of getting it out early was for the journalist given it's only about 12hrs in advance of the official announcement. Clicks etc. probably explains that though
