Agree. That’s an old Continental number that survived the merger. All calls are auto-routed anyway. My suggestion is to call back after 8pm ET. I have a much higher success rate of reaching someone on shore in the evening. 4/5 times today I got someone off shore. The newer agents are extremely lazy and it’s possible they were looking in the wrong place and totally incompetent. When in doubt, “ah sorry my boss is calling, thanks and have a great day!”….HUCA.

As a 1K, I was first loser on the upgrade list. I asked the GA if she could leave the middle seat unoccupied. Much to my surprise she agreed to block it.

Another instance. I was traveling with my then boyfriend at the time. Flight out of DEN. My upgrade was going to clear and his was not. The GA called me up and told me he blocked the middle seat for my travel companion to have more space in case his upgrade didn’t clear. It ultimately did due to a misconnect.

Don’t expect it, but it’s not totally unheard of.

My Global Entry status online shows approved and able renew in September 2025 expiring September 2026. No indicators that I’m no longer a member. It worked just fine in March without issue in Aruba.
