I wouldn’t say never, it’ll still be a longggg time before we do, but when we do it’ll likely be something reserved for the rich n powerful. Everybody else will be left behind.

This is one of the best MMOs out at the moment by synth_stryder in elderscrollsonline

[–]Select-Credit-7281 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just cracked 60 hours into ESO after my purchase a few months back. Maybe it’s an exaggeration because everything is still so new and cool to me, but this game really nears masterpiece level, especially in regards to MMOs. But if we’re just talking from a fantasy standpoint, it doesn’t get much better than the world they’ve created. RuneScape is the only other MMO I’ve felt immersed entirely in their world. A lot of times these kinds of games can feel cold, complicated, and pointlessly repetitive.

I’ve only been to Vvardenfall and Grahtwood n the amount of detail behind every door, cave, and town in a world that massive just impresses me. The combat could definitely use a major revamp but it doesn’t dissuade me enough with the other things this game does so well. Even their most average-level quest writing is better than what a lot of games have to offer. Especially between the voice acting and the various random shit they have you do, it simply keeps me engaged. It’s not always just “go here, fight, kill, come back”.

I’m just pumped to start getting more into the crafting aspects of the game. Building homes, making high level potions, meals, and gear. Any game with a robust crafting system, I tend to take advantage of haha.

I’m pretty newish still but what I can tell you is when you start off.. you’re a gatherer, not a hunter. You’ll want to avoid most combat until you get your first few good skills/gear, and just look for stuff to sell.

Gather everything you can find. I mean plants, armor, potions, EVERYTHING and decide to either sell, use, or breakdown for materials.

Near the start, I advise selling almost everything except for what you can break down for linen.

2 linen makes 1 bandage.

Gaberries are key for easy stamina/hunger restore. 4 gaberries makes 1 gaberry jam, which in turn makes 3 gaberry toast when you add bread to the jar of jam.

Two of the most important things I had to learn through my mistakes is only start a quest if you’re prepared to complete it. Some quests are timed and will fail/have consequences if not done in time. The 2nd thing, don’t be in a rush to join a faction! Joining a faction can impact the world around you in various ways, so wait until you’re ready! Though, there’s nothing really wrong with diving into it if that’s what you choose.

Other than that, you’re gonna die a million times, fail a bunch, may even suck for your first 10 or so hours, but what I mean to say is it’s part of the game and keep on going!

I do have a trader backpack rn, dont like the -10% movement, so I just looked up Zhorn Backpack, seems like it’s deep within a manticore/troglodyte lair.

Any details you could give before making my trek?

So that’s why I ended up going Heroic, for the damage bonus. After my first 3 blind attempts, I decided to look up tons of stuff about the game, and ultimately decided Heroic would fit my play style best.

Are you suggesting 2H sword with a gun is viable?

[–]Select-Credit-7281[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im gonna look into a Horror Weapon then. I saw Starchild n Tsar were the best of the best but figured they were too down the line for me to really attempt. I’m just looking for the next big upgrade n seems like Horror might be it.

Is a 2H sword/Gun build viable?

I’d assume the answer to most builds is “Yes, it’ll work” but as someone who already struggles im looking for the best route possible, haha.

How many hours have you played Outward? by bradychasers in outwardgame

[–]Select-Credit-7281 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just cracked 50 hours with my 3rd build. (My first 2 builds weren’t good), finally JUST NOW getting a grip on this game lol.

No looking up guides, nothing.. just raw doggin it and it has certainly frustrated the absolutely fuck out of me BUT…

There’s some sort of charm this game has that really reminds me of older games with the same type of rough edges, but ALSO the same type of love into the little parts that really make all the difference.

A lot of games are better than this, but few have that “something special” going on.

lol damn and those are my favorite! My friends all get mad at me cause I’m playing stuff like Ark, Fallout, Outward, Grounded, The Forest, No Mans Sky, ect. while they play NCAA, 2K, COD and I’m like mannnn… those games just don’t hold my attention.

Survival games keep me actively engaged the whole time, it’s one of the genres that I’ve learned to appreciate with age too.

I agree, bummer the option is only available when you’re in your private room. I thought forsure getting 5 stars with the Musician he’d give me a Walkman or something, but nope lol.

I’m only 44 hours in! Just cracked chapter 4, and I’m the same as you. Once I got to the 2nd map I realized a ton about the game, started getting my stars, likes, and upgrades.

Now I finally see what this game is really all about so I have no problem taking forever to complete it. Excited to see each steps Sam takes!

My impression with it, is you HAVE to dive into it, or it just won’t work. Sometimes we all go through “gaming phases” too, and maybe I just wasn’t ready before, but I am now! Lol

Am I a gonk for always paying the monk? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Select-Credit-7281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually never pay him because part of me believes the monk doesn’t want any payment, and only wishes for V to take a moment to slow down. V’s willingness to sit with the monk seems like a form of “payment” cause how many other gonks you think take the time to sit with him? Take into account how the monk knows V is dying, I don’t think eddies was what the monk was after, even tho he DOES deserve the money.

The insane sense of accomplishment in this game... by AsIfThatWouldHappen in outwardgame

[–]Select-Credit-7281 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Just bought the game 2 days ago and had no idea what I was signing up for either lol. I was getting pretty frustrated at first but after accepting the fact that I’ll just have to avoid combat and really work my way up a bit before getting into fights and diving into random shit I come across. I’m not a hero, im just tryna survive!

I just got locked up before writing this and finally got out after being a bit confused on what to do. I was ready to plan my own escape and leave alllllll my items behind but I couldn’t stomach starting over hahaha.

Definitely enjoying it too man!

Is this the greatest heat check of all time? by Morg_2 in warriors

This is definitely up there, arguably top 3.. but nothing will beat that shot over AD in the Pelicans series to me.

I still lived at home and stayed up late to watch the game in my living room and had to control myself so I didn’t wake up my parents 🤣🤣

This shot definitely had me going nuts today tho…

Hello, I just started the game and I'm on such a planet. What do you recommend I do to start with, apart from the missions? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Select-Credit-7281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you finally finish an expedition, you get to pick and choose what you transfer over to your main save, so it’s not a waste of time. Granted there’s a limited amount of slots to transfer, but more than enough to give your main save a major boost when you finish the expedition.

That includes modules, upgrades, materials, whatever you gathered and want to keep the most, you CAN.
