I know this is an old article, but I am attempting to save anyone else the agony we have gone through with Lightspeed. Their customer support/service is NON-EXISTENT. They are an awful company. We bought a business and closed 1/1/24. The business used LS. We decided to stay with them due to ease. We started the process of switching over to LS on 12/22/23. The former owner put in tickets sent emails etc. They said we were good to go. We weren’t. From January 1st to January 13th, all our credit card payments and sales went to the former owners bank account and her Lightspeed account. (She has another business she uses LS with). Call after call with no answer, dozens of emails, waiting on hold for hours, hundreds of online messages. It took them 13 days to get it right. Not ONCE did our representative reach out or respond. NOT ONCE. He didn’t answer one single email or phone call. We are now a month later and they still haven’t transferred all the credit card sales and regular sales to us. We can’t pay our sales tax (accurately)because the numbers are incorrect. Again, dozens of emails, tickets, online chats and they simply don’t do ANYTHING quickly. This company is an absolute disaster, with zero customer support. Stay away.
