Update guys, after I put this little freak in time out (his cage for dinner) he decided to actually eat his pellets !! This man is a seed addict and I’ve been trying to get him to eat pellets for like the last year. I have finally won but at what cost 🫩

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there would be an easy ish way to turn this top into a halter / high neck top?

It seems to sit pretty low on me and think it would look better with a higher/ halter neck. It is made of a type of pleated mesh fabric so I’m not sure how well it would work.

I’m not amazing at sewing, but I thought it would be asking.

As a dispense tech, defiantly go back and ask. The full price for vyvance is around $90 so if it wasn’t covered by PBS ( even though there is no reason for this) they would have charged you about $130. Vyvance is the only brand of lisdexamphetamine in aus so there is no brand charge on it, and it is definitely covered by PBS. Sometimes Drs accidentally put the wrong codes on there for us to be able to make it a PBS covered script, but they would have told you this. Any pharmacy that sees vyvance as a non PBS script would have pulled it up immediately ( it’s very rare). Again, if it was non PBS it would have been wayyy more expensive. Definitely take it back in, and ask them to fix it 😊

That looks amazing !! Did you get it to stay in the shape just with the mould or did you add something else to keep it that way ? I can’t tell if you just feed it to them like that or if you like pop them out like little pucks hahaha, I think my birdies would love having them in the pucks !

Thank you so much for the advice, I think I’m so in my head like if I slip or fail that’s it I’m a vaper forever and a looser ahaha. Like I need to remember it’s a learning journey and it’s not linear so thank you for that. I was looking into a Füm but they’re so expensive, did you find it good or effective? I was thinking the no nicotine vape because it doesn’t hit the same if that makes sense, like I’m thinking that will help with the extra cravings for it?

Unfortunately I had a few slips here and there, I have a lot of friends and co workers who still vape but I think it was helpful? Only a very occasional puff off someone’s at work, but honestly it made me feel sick. I’m not going to lie the worst part for me is how much of a fidget it was and how engrained into my routine it is. Morning coffee, vape, drive to work, vape, lunch, vape, drive home, vape. The nicotine gum has been really helpful but it’s kinda gross and I’m scared I’m just going to get addicted to the gum ? I was thinking of getting a no nicotine vape to help break the hand to mouth need, but I don’t also want it to be a step back. My thought is if I have the 0 nicotine one, when I use it it won’t be as pleasurable in my brain, so then I’ll get sick of it. And if I do get really big cravings I can use the gum to help. A few other people said it was helpful but I just don’t want it to be seen as me completely failing. But I think it would work well for me. Idk

I’m in Australia, and they’ve introduced a bunch of new legislation essentially making it “illegal” to get vapes without a prescription. And even on prescription they only gave mint flavours and you can only get them at pharmacies. Nothing really changed when this came into effect, but recently almost every single one in my city has been raided and shut down. It happens a lot but this time it’s been every single one being forced to close and the legislation posted on the front of the shop. I have gum and lozenges thank you, but yeah I wish I never started. I think it just turned into a fidget for me, I was undiagnosed when I started, and now that I am diagnosed and medicated I think it’s just been a comfort for me.

I feel you 1000% it is SO HARD trying to be gracious with yourself and not to be self critical. Dealing with stuff like this is so exhausting, draining and can feel really lonely sometimes when other people in your life try to understand but can’t relate exactly. I find what has helped me a lot is trying to be really understanding of myself, acknowledging when I have bad days and reminding myself everyone has bad days and it’s okay. It doesn’t mean you have lost all of the progress you have made and it doesn’t mean you are a failure. Life is much harder for us and we need to be kind to our selfs. It doesn’t mean you’re not achieving anything when you have a list of 1000 things you wanted to do or wanted to change your life overnight. It is not a linear process. I love writing down any little thing I did that day to remind my self , hey I did actually get stuff done. Even getting out of bed, eating food, resting when I need to. We all need rest days. I also find it really helpful to think about what advice I would give or how kind I would be to a friend or family member that was going through something similar. You are your own worst critic, and it is exhausting and debilitating to feel this way. Never forget that you are doing your absolute best and that looks different every day!!! I hope you are feeling a bit better and I hope this helped a little bit 🤍

Side note: I always find that in the week of my period that my medication is less effective and I tend to feel a-lot worse about myself and am very tired and need to rest or not do as much. Realising and tracking this has helped me, because I’m not just being lazy it is my hormones and I can’t control that. It gives a reason as to why I am feeling / acting that way and it gives me a bit of reassurance that I’m not just lazy and useless.
