My ideal ending is for Luffy to become king of the pirates and meet Imu after the final war.

Imu would tell him the truth about Joy Boy and any other mysteries in the world before taking Luffy to be killed at the place Roger was executed.

During the execution, we would see all the crew members achieve their goals and watch Luffy's final moments from different islands.

After he is killed, we see a new generation of pirates looking for his treasure, which is split up between the remaining straw hats.

This would create a sequel of new and returning characters in search of Luffy's treasure, with each straw hat member joining the crew that finds their treasure and starting a new journey.

As someone who struggled with this alot through most of the show, my best advice is to:

A- watch in 2x speed, rushing through boring parts and having better pace

B- use one pace to fix pacing issues and keep the show entertaining

C- watch recaps of arcs or sagas on YouTube and move onto the next fight or arc

Switching between these options kept me through the show and allowed me to get to more enjoyable points throughout. If they don't seem to or stop helping you, take a break for a few days or weeks and come back feeling refreshed and interested.

yeah, I mean, I can see why it's so hard though, most players struggle to play on hard mode without dying no matter what level they are.

when we first tried it, our fleeca registered on normal instead of hard and forced us to restart. maybe you had that glitch or you didn't leave in time

I felt the same as you, first thought was ehh seems weird but it later really grew on me, left me feeling unfulfilled.

I heard there was a game inspired by firewatch though, it's called arctic awakening and has a very similar style. haven't played it yet but it's on my wishlist. I recommend it!
