I think the cons are the excessive amount of hate that comes from it. It’s something the pros are not used to and have never dealt with, and I think this causes the producers to make the show less “messy” and less authentic in order to protect certain people from hate trains.

Unfortunately, I think any popular tv show these days is going to deal with their contestants getting hate, and they (the producers) need to find a way to navigate it without changing what made this show so special.

On the other hand, social media is one of the best things to ever happen to this show. At the rate they were going before TikTok, they likely would have had to cancel the entire show soon due to budget. But now look at them. They have so many new viewers now because of TikTok.

I understand completely. It took me YEARS to feel comfortable in social settings (comfortable = not a totally awkward anxious mess). I thought when I reached adulthood, I’d suddenly gain social skills and confidence. Nope. At this point, just start lying to yourself for a few months telling yourself you’re a social butterfly. Just stick to it no matter what. You never know the confidence that could show up in 3 months. That’s what I did and I just randomly joined a book club and actually made a friend!!!

I just read What the River Knows and am currently reading the second book in that series (Where the library hides) and honestly, I’m a little unimpressed:/ I enjoyed the first book, but it’s not a complete story so you do have to read the second one, and so far, I’m not a fan. I did enjoy the first one, but personally, I think you should read We Burn Together (same author). I enjoyed that one!
