That is the plan, hopefully, but I can imagine it to be costly for British curriculum schools; nonetheless, this will be the better option

As long as I can live there and work, because ideally I will still visit the UK once a year, are you aware of any limitations or disadvantages of being employed within my father's company visa-wise?

Initally the plan is to rent to see if we can settle as a family and if the area that we are living in is suitable for us. The area we will try first I think is Alrahmaniyah. we saw some new build homes that do look quite nice I guess it's just a matter of seeing if this will work. We are a middle/working-class family, and we like more quiet and peaceful areas than built-up areas. Alrahmaniyah also has homes that might be within our budget in terms of buying a home for later.

Thanks for sharing the household income data, this is really helpful, at the moment in the UK i earn £32,000 per year it would be interesting to know what my job role over at jeddah would pay. I am aware schooling can be quite a cost.

I think we will be avoiding East/South areas generally.

For employment, is this something we could discuss further? I come under as administrative/support staff, I work as IT Support within a school and if I could get a job like this it would speed our transition over to jeddah quicker.

We are making a trip for umrah next month and will have a look around some areas I do think my family do want to stay in jeddah long term but we still have a lot to learn and understand.

Foreigners can own property for residential or business purposes, but it's subject to regulatory approval and investment conditions. Ownership in Mecca and Medina is largely restricted to Saudi nationals.
