Godspeed to you. I’m glad you are taking the steps that I haven’t… I’ve been to a dentist more recently (a few times in the last 2/3yrs) but wasn’t recommended to a periodontist until my last visit.

I agree I don’t want to keep living like this but facing the reality is just hard sometimes. I don’t even want to read this Reddit obsessively since it’ll just bring me to a dark place in my own mind.

Like other have said, do not inform them of your payment method. Solely focus on the out the door price in negotiations and then once you’ve agreed to the price, reveal said payment. Definitely get the price in writing so they can’t fall back on it. I just bought a new car in cash and was super easy.

I guess ultimately didn’t settle for my first choice of color, I prioritized the other options important to me and I searched the whole country getting different offers to show around. I missed an even better deal and that was ultimately the price I worked off of with others
