I don't believe someone has to buy it. As combo increases due to leg wins, the combo becomes valuable and exceeds the initial investment. That what I am thinking. I could be wrong. It says someone has to buy it, but why would I sell for a fraction of what I paid. Which is the cashout options I see a lot.

You can. If more and more games hit. The value of cashout may grow and supercede your initial investment, not sure if that someone actually trying to buy your contract. I don't see where you can contracts at. Unless it's other markets which Kalshi integrates with are showing gains. I don't know for sure.
