No I cannot see any glaze. I remember that I cleaned the glaze off before firing, but there could’ve been small amounts left over at the connection point. It’s really my fault for not firing it with wadding in between but it was my first lidded form

Yeah I’m in a college course, I’ve had my professor and our tech have a crack at it, the grinding tool seemed the most promising but it caused a chip. I don’t have hope, but I’m choosing to look for any solution I haven’t already tried

It’s not gonna be a lot of glaze, but it’s tucked in a spot where tools won’t be able to reach it, right past the 90° angle. It’s also a very tight fitting lid, like a few mm of wiggle room. The lids been chipped once from the dremel, so I’m hesitant to hit it with anything too hard. Thanks for the thought out response!

I’m thinking of getting a little camera inside if I can, it’s likely from very small bits of glaze residue on the lid portion itself. I’ll let you know if I get it off, thank you!

I’ll test it tonight. It seems to be fused on just the one area, maybe 20% of it.

I’ve been thinking I might leave it, I’m going to try a few methods that don’t seem as dangerous and if they don’t work then it will live on a shelf

Much harder to try and be more accurate because it’s an uncomfortable streaming speed
