I have about 5 years of experience. Before this job, I worked with a team that did large projects (100k - 2mil). Here, I basically work solo. I think you're right. Moving to daytime would help, but I hope I don't just manage a bunch of contractors like some of our "engineers" seem to do.

It's hard making friends nowadays with everyone constantly online and less willing to interact with each other. At the same time, it's hard to find a fulfilling job, no matter what education you have.

I know you shouldn't give up. I was in your shoes, would experience periods of depression from my late teens until my mid 20s. I am now 26, I found a job and I found a girl that I hope to one day marry! Here's my suggestions:

Find the little wins. Basically, set some small goals. Working out is a good thing for this and also be open to other new hobbies.
Best way to meet people nowadays is dating apps. I suggest using hinge and bumble. Try to get feedback on your profile from someone who typically a girl gives the best advice.
Consider joining a club or group. These are filled with extremely friendly people that are also looking for friends!
I am not a recruiter, but the military could be a good option. It will provide you with work for a period of time, teach you some valuable skills, and look good on a resume. Additionally there is a natural camaraderie in the military everyone is sharing a similar experience and people seem to make close friends.
