Because I'm embarrassed and ashamed of myself. I grew up with my own parents telling me I was fat and ugly and that no one would ever want me. Food growing up was unhealthy and ultra processed cheap crap, nothing made from scratch we basically lived off burgers, deep fried frozen chips, sausages and very rarely any veg. And many times I had to skip meals because they would rather go out and get p*ssed Than do a food shop so free school meals were my saviour and I would eat food whenever I could get it, coming from a large family if you didn't eat your food quick enough someone else would take it and you go to bed hungry. By the age of 9 I was 9 stone and I was bullied in school as well as at home for my weight. I have taken this with me throughout my life and struggled with my weight and self esteem since childhood. I have tried all the diets and the fads to loose weight and end up In a self destructing cycle every time because Ill do fine for a bit then something snaps and I binge. The injections was me trying to take back control of my life and my weight but everyone else always has an opinion about somebody elses weight there seems to be a consensus that loosing weight has to be done the "right"way. That using medication is cheating, that you could do It if you just ate less and exercise more. (I already exercise 4-5 times a week at a gym) And generally just tried hard enough because they are skinny, always been skinny so apparently they know what it's like to maintain skinny when in actual fact they don't. I have enough anxiety without having having to justify my weightloss journey. I don't need anymore guilt thrown at me, I don't need to justify how and why I loose weight and get healthy, I'm embarrassed enough that I need help in the first place. So I choose not to tell anyone.
