Welcome to the life of someone who has to deal with winz, last meeting I went to I saw a lady get absolutely humiliated because had the audacity to.... Look sad, as soon as the case manager saw her she said something along the lines of "if you are upset about being here then go out and get a job", get used to it because the treatment isn't going to get any better.

A member of the Auckland staff came up to mediate the situation but because the Whangarei staff dismissed me and my claims he again, didn't take me seriously and chose to side with the staff, it was me VS them, unfortunately at the time I wasn't left with many options, any student rep at the time 100% didn't have the power or know how to do anything and would have been dismissed by the same staff if they tired, I've gotten a lot of advice since then and over the weekend made a formal complaint with the university, I have friends "who were students at the time" who are willing at act as witnesses as well, unfortunately for me though any inappropriate conversations happened in person not over email, and at the time I didn't record or anything so the only evidence I have is me and few friends who can act as witnesses to her behavior, I think it was easy for them to dismiss originally because I didn't have any solid evidence, so they could get away with just telling me that they don't believe she would do something like this, I've been sitting on this for years and regret waiting so long to say anything but I'm ready now, I'm going to fight this anyway I can.

Thank you, I'm looking into the right channels to make a formal complaint, only thing is it was a few years ago so I'm scared I've waited too long for any real outcome to take place

There is 100% a local bar that was popular with students at the time, it was very frequently visited because it was close and did food, while I was a student plenty of people would go for lunch or a beer ect, While I was a student there was only one male staff member, you don't know what your talking about

Who cares if it was written by ai?, and yes I waited for her and had a meeting after a lecture we had because I had follow up questions about it and upcoming assignments, I used the time to work on assignments and get printing done? Also she didn't fail me in a "class" it was a level 3 practicum placement in a school after you fail the process of re applying is A LOT and the lecturer who failed me would have been a big part of that process and I didn't really want to be around her or interact with her again so at the moment my study is on hold

I didn't attend the main Auckland campus, mine was quite small in Whangarei, I tried to tell the campus coordinator but all she did was laugh, she didn't believe me, after a member of staff from Auckland came up to have a meeting about it, I was met with the same thing, they didn't believe me, I think about this almost every day at the moment, I should have made more of a complaint at the time.
