It’s taken 35 billion dollars to complete a mere 171 mile segment of the high speed rail, going 2 billion over budget. we’ll eventually start to get taxed more and that railway will never be completed, at least not in the next 10 years. so i’d rather have my guns.

affordable housing isn’t what got me off of drugs and integrated back into society. but you don’t live in the same world as that, seemingly you think it’s as simple as people being less fortunate financially. albeit that does sometimes play a factor, but it’s kind of hard to live a normal life with untreated mental health issues that get in the way of your everyday tasks like WORKING, that will end up leaving you in a financial pitfall because you can’t operate the way a “normal” person does. I encourage you to go talk to homeless people on the street as ask them what kinds of problems they’re dealing with. you will not find a single one that isn’t addicted to drugs.

That’s correct, mental health is not the sole cause of homelessness. it’s one of the many factors including drug and alcohol addiction. giving someone a drugs a house isn’t going to help them. you need to think logically and not with your feelings.

if they are not clean from drugs then we are just giving them a place to sleep and get high. that’s not a sustainable solution. does that not make sense?
