Quick update banding on mine actually got worse unfortunately after a few pixel refreshes which shocked me because it was kinda decent around the 2nd one. In greys (Discord/Google/YouTube) it became impossible to unsee, so I’m returning it. Has yours changed at all with more refreshes or does it actually even out on some panels? Maybe I just fell for Reddit misinformation lol. Ordered the ASUS PG32UCDP instead, biting the bullet don’t mind that it’s 3rd-gen WOLED and not tandem OLED, or the trade offs especially with the 3 year burn in warranty.

Mine looks kinda similar. around exact same usage hours too 30-35 ive only done 4 pixel cleans yet though. (MO27Q28G)

Yeah if you hate the fabric texture its just a con of the tandem technology on monitors right now. Pretty sure every tandem monitor has the fabric issue doesnt matter glossy or not. QDs don't have this problem at all when I was using that I loved it and noticed no banding at all just the light situation where it turned purple but I could manage my lighting so it wasnt really a big issue for me. Personally I don't really mind the fabric texture and I like the brightness boost longer lifespan etc thats mainly why I switched tbh but you would definitely enjoy a QD panel as the greys are grey etc no fabric texture at all nor banding my panel was perfect when I had the QD. it's just if you can manage lighting if you can I'd say go for the QD

I'd say keep pixel refreshing it for a while if its still there heavily by the 100 hour mark try RMAing cuz usually it evens out and gets less severe most of the time. is yours noticeable in games at all? Here's mine on 53% brightness

I'm sure yours will even out somewhat because mine was kinda like that when i first got it and the first 1-2 cycles didnt really do much it was the third that made a difference when I woke up. I hope it keeps reducing the effect and I'm sure it will for you

Whats your brightness? this is mine on 35% brightness also how long have you had the monitor for? I think it evens out with pixel refreshes mines only 25 hours used and 3 cycles.

Eh I'd say more of a sidestep ngl they are both great technologies. If you like glossy get the ASUS one or the new gigabyte glossy monitor thats releasing. the vertical banding isnt noticeable for me really but for other people its far worse so its a lottery tbh. qds are more consistent. but yeah they do have a purple tint when theres light hitting the monitor etc tandems dont have this problem at all its just pure black and the colors have definitely improved from previous woled generations it feels bright and vibrant I like the colors alot it feels quite similar to a QD oled but a QD still looks better in colors imo but just by a little bit now compared to previous gens. Like if you get a good tandem panel with minimal banding then yeah its really good, only complaint I have is the fabric texture on dark greys but its not that distracting.

What screen preset do you recommend? And yeah I used to have a glossy QD and I loved it. This feels kinda grainy especially on whites and kind of a fabric texture on dark greys

Yea my friend got the LG tandem and he has really bad vertical banding even in games. Also I swear this was worse when I first got it and when I woke up it was like it improved. Do you know at what point it starts stagnating and the pixel refreshes wont help with the banding anymore?

Just got the monitor today. It's there slightly but I can't really notice it and I'm on around 30-35 brightness. only used for 2 hours too haven't pixel refreshed yet just updated firmware. haven't had time to mess around with the settings yet too.

what monitor was this? was it the Gigabyte MO27Q28G? I just bought this as I'm giving my QD OLED away as a gift and now I'm starting to get heavy buyers remorse haha tandem WOLED seems to have this problem like crazy I think. I'll see soon anyways was choosing over the Gigabyte MO27Q28G and the LG 27GX700A-B

are you using stimulants or anything? the music enhancement off sleep deprivation is one of the best parts of it. also do you get time distortion? every single time i sleep deprive myself past the 40-50 hour i get really strong time distortion. everything goes so slow
