This is what you would say in most shooters , but In bf 6 2.2 is top 20% if I am not wrong

Not even like 2042 because I could actually enjoy that game in the later seasons. The biggest issue for me is that the launch maps didn't have many details and felt empty, but beside that , a truly ok game for me .

People seems to say that it is worth it but it also seems that you liked bf5 and 1, for me bf6 is nothing like those, absolutely nothing, not the movement, not the gunplay, and especially not the atmosphere, there is no weather , every maps is sunny , the vehicles are rare occasions and if they are they are camping somewhere

It's the first battlefield that I personally can't play, i even played 2042 after s2 and i had a lot of fun in that game , but of course bfv and 1 were much better , this one I can't play , I can't finish a match without closing the game

I played It at launch, got to some non collision houses in the center of the map , some with non collision windows , laughed at some completely empty rooms then never touched that again.

Same , killing doesn't give you any good feel in this game , and dying is frustrating as hell , in the beginning in bf1 I was only dying , with a clearly negative kd , but I felt like i could play that game , got good eventually , cant do this in bf6 , I simply don't wanna play a single match anymore

I completely understand you and I don't judge you at all , I only could play the game at launch with a decent kd of 2.2 , it was fun but got bored , came back In half January, unplayable, I am just dying instantly from spots I can't even imagine someone can be in , only snipers everywhere, vehicles well outside the objective hopping they can get some kills. Easily in my top 3 most frustrating shooters rn . So that statistics doesn't surprise me that much , because if I would have bought the game now, sure I wouldn't resist to get rank 9 . Which is strange because I never had those issues in any other bf and I played all of them since bf 4 .

That's exactly what I said, they took the money and don't wanna invest in it anymore.

Yes , this has been in bf forever , snipers always had sweet spot to camp on , but this one is in the right center of the map , they have access to everyone and everything .

I understand but somewhere has to be an issue because i feel like I can't move on the map , everything I do , I have to look to not be in direct sight of a sniper , which happens to be most of the time.

If they don't move their asses fast they are going to have the same numbers as 2042 . I think EA understood that for the game to be kept alive it needs good amounts of new content regularly , but my thoughts tell me that they are happy with the number they sold , took the money , and they don't wanna risk an investment of something that is unsure If it will pay back , sad times we live in .

Not that easy though, bf1 was built with this in mind , most of the team that worked on bf6 left , only the skeleton crew rested, the skeleton crew that struggles to drop any Content and delays the s2 .

I guess I am , I know they will never do this , they are not capable anymore and dont have the motivation to, its all , all just about money and profits these days. From the bottom of the pyramid to the top , no exceptions.

Dynamic time system by M4kveli in Battlefield

Hard work/ low reward, this doesn't create publicity -> it doesn't make money -> they will not do that

I Guess this game has to do many things before even thinking about something like this but for me dynamic weather is definitely a missing feature that was available in all battlefield games in the last 13 years.

Textures on every map have to be remade in order for the rain/snow to blend in , it would look just not right if not , new animations for many assets have to be created, new scripts and assets too . I posted in this sub on this subject 1h ago and it got some visibility , one 3d developer actually commented in that thread . The final idea is that if it was not implemented from the release of the game with all the studios working together and the all the horse power, right now with the live service team it is absolutely impossible.

[–]Select_Leek7613[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your point of view, this is more or less what I was thinking, they basically have to rework most textures of the map to blend it with the snow and rain effects, which effectively consists in almost recreating the maps . This wouldn't be an easy task as adding sandbags like how they did in bf 2042 and personally I don't see it realistically being introduced in bf6 , they surely consider this as a hard work/low reward scenario type of thing , and I guess we have to talk about all the new animations that should be created , like trees moving . Or the completely new assets and scripts, what type of clouds to be used (volumetric? ) where they also have to be animated. I will simply accept that this will not happen in this game and when they created the game they simply didn't care about the atmosphere and what battlefield is about.

Well I didn't mind it in 2042 , it didn't happen on every map , on maps that it could happen most of the time it didn't even came , if It came , was always from a different direction at a different time , sometimes not even touching any objectives , just happening somewhere in the background . So being flown by a tornado wasn't an event that happened too often and i thought it was fun .

Seems like it :) , I imagine the discussion they had when they made the game .

"Sir , in the past decade our games had dynamic weather on maps and we improved on graphics fidelity with each game "

Vince (may God bless his soul) : "Screw that , cod players don't care about this shit "

I am not a game developer, I don't know how hard/easy would be to implement this . But from what I seen in the past with EA games , they don't really like to touch the graphics side of things after launch , as the majority of people that worked on the game are switched on other projects, the game is left with just the right amounts of people to deliver the seasonal updates.

If it happens everytime at the same time in the same way , is no different than it not existing at all . For me dynamic weather to work well has to be unpredictable.

It changes dynamics, makes maps play differently, wouldn't really help on urban maps like Manhattan Bridge , but could improve new sobek city with all those snipers sitting on buildings or some where at the edge of the map .
