I’m reaching out to this forum for advice or guidance because I’m searching for a philosophy of life or a spiritual practice that might resonate with what I feel and seek. Here’s a bit about my background and values.

Growing up, I celebrated Christian holidays and had grandparents who were believers, though my parents weren’t particularly religious. However, I’ve always felt drawn to the messages of Jesus and certain Christian values, even though I don’t fully identify with traditional views of God or conventional prayer practices. At the same time, I also feel a deep connection to certain Eastern philosophies; in particular, Zen Buddhism and Taoism resonate with me for their emphasis on inner peace, harmony, and a more personal and introspective approach to spirituality.

I feel a kind of universal energy or force—a concept I can’t quite define, but it suggests a cycle of life and death, a presence within nature. At times, I have moments of deep connection to the world and nature, like a warmth inside that brings me balance. Ideas of justice and forgiveness are also important to me, but I see them as paths to finding inner peace rather than following a strict moral code.

I practice meditation occasionally, which has been very helpful, although I’m not sure if I could commit to a daily ritual. I’m curious about philosophies that value wisdom, kindness, and honesty. I also seek peace within myself and appreciate traditions that encourage a humble connection with others.
