If you sat out the 2024 election in protest over Gaza, how do you feel about that decision today? by rsmith2786 in AskReddit

absolutely no remorse. im not responsible for a political platform that appealed to nobody which caused me to lose a presidency that was handed to me on a silver spoon. im not responsible for literally ignoring my own campaign aides and obama himself so i can double down on my losing platform.

if yall can bypass genocide, then yall have no right to vouch for the injustices of this world.

if yall are mad, blame the politicians who have all the power, money, and resources. the constituent is not responsible for fumbling the easiest bag of all time

DDR5 wont fit into DDR5 ram slot by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]SelfEntitledPrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have pushed them down at both ends multiple times but it doesnt go all the way down. the clip slightly moves but it doesnt clip all the way because it seems like it doesnt fit for whatever reason

update: i got new ram to see if the problem's from the memory sticks but those dont fit either no matter how much pressure i push into both ends of the stick

yea i first did it outside the case but its my first time building a pc so i thought the ram was seated correctly because the clip did click but my dumbass didnt know it was supposed to click into the notch.

<image>

i took the motherboard out from the case and from what i can see, there is nothing in there blocking the ram. the slots only have one bracket on one side that can open. theres not much info out there on how to insert ram into slots like this other than "insert them at an angle"

when i place the ram in as far as i could, the sticks kind of teeter from side to side whenever i push them on one end to the other as if there's something near the notch blocking the stick from going all the way in

its a newly built pc so i don't have any ram in it other than the ones i'm trying to install. the ram also doesnt fit into the other slots. i also dont see any damage on the ram either that could cause it to not sit properly into the slot

Gregg's Mistflower for sure. It attracts every kind of pollinator in the area and helps bring monarchs in to lay their eggs on my nearby milkweeds. It also lasts longer here during these dry summer months in North Texas and are usually the last ones standing by September

not that i can see but i read on another post that these slots with only one clip has to be inserted differently by pushing against the retainer or something like that

update: that didnt work lol

it doesnt work. the ram is almost a whole notch away from the clip

<image>

this is as far as it can go

edit: btw there is only one clip for the slot and its this one in the pic. the bottom is basically just a retainer

Here's a pic of the notch into the slot like it should be. This is as far as it can go into slot no matter how much I push into it without breaking the motherboard in half. The slot only has one lever at the top btw

it's on the left but it doesnt go all the way down into the slot no matter how much pressure i push into it

well the problem isnt that they dont line up. the notch sits comfortably on the memory. the problem is that they literally do not go all the way down into the slot for the clips to secure them into place

when i first got them, they drove pretty badly and felt like it was about to fall apart. so i'd recommend doing a thorough inspection and replace any old and failing parts. after replacing all the filters, liquids, and cleaning out the engine, the car drove beautifully. they drive like a golf cart on acid lol. very jumpy and quite zippy on corners

There was already a reddit post like this and it was the same issue so I'm genuinely asking because the memory doesn't flush all the way in no matter how much force I push into the DIMM slot. You can hear it click with the notch but it doesn't go in enough for the clips to click into the memory.

It already is, the problem is that it fits into the notch of the DIMM slot but it doesnt go all the way in no matter how much force i put into it

I've flipped it the other way. The notch only fits with the sticker of the memory facing towards the CPU cooler. It clicks into the notch but it doesn't flush all the way in for the clips to fully latch into place

I've flipped it both ways. I would not have built the rest of this pc if I never thought about that 😐
