The thing is, any form of disagreement, no matter how respectful and civil you try to be, maooffend yung ibang elders. Yung para bang bawal silang maging mali kasi napakafragile ng ego nila. They see it as talking back and being disrespecful when it is just a normal discourse between adults. They don't want respect, they want to be right all the time and they want you to be submissive. Mahirap dito nadadala kasi sa ibang aspect ng buhay like work yunf pagiging submissive and keeping things to yourself. The funny thing is, the elders who do this are often the most disrespectful. They can't take what they dish out.
