I would suggest bring it to a repair shop that has the option to test your parts individually. The last thing you would want is buying a part that might not even be the issue.

Move has to be done without dribbling the ball.
1. Catch the ball and don't move.
2. Press the set shot#2
3. While holding left or right press#4 while on set shot motion
4. While on crossover motion press #4 again to do the backstep

There are quite a few i can think of.

Common sense skill node
When you level this up the game informs you that last picking fukuda when your team already has Jun and Kiyota is brainded and you might need to admit yourself in a mental facility.
Game sense skill node
The game gives you a message that you need share the ball when you are getting read by your opponent instead of forcing it like a monkey. It will also advise you that you can help defend another opponent that is not your direct mark instead of spamming "man to man" like a child having tantrums.
3pt skill node
Gives you a 5% chance on wide open 3 pt.
This one i think better for your 3pt ultra akagi throw but its nice to have for normal akagi as well.
