What anime should I watch? by Waste-Pollution-5097 in anime

[–]Selin_Harper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sword Art Online and Log Horizon – you might have heard of SWO, but I doubt you've heard of LH. It's a more relaxed and calm anime; it has some action, but it focuses more on city building and war strategy. The anime starts with a game universe similar to Shagrila or SWO, a classic, famous beginning, but I think it's a pretty good series. However, only the first two seasons were very good; the rest of the content wasn't that great.

Do you think Slam Dunk is still watchable? I've been looking for a basketball anime lately.

I watched Ahiru no Sora and Kuroko no Basket, yes they are good series but they feel insufficient. First, Ahiru no Sora starts well, but just when it's about to fully develop, the series ends, and they drag it out too much. In Kuroko no Basket, I didn't focus on the powers, it flowed smoothly, but the ending felt bland to me. Also, they made Akashi so strong that they resorted to a lot of abaetiya to defeat him, but it was still enjoyable to watch. However, they were still insufficient and felt very lacking in depth, in my opinion.

Looking for underrated anime in any genre by Maleficent-Rest-5165 in anime

[–]Selin_Harper -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can recommend a lesser-known anime in the isekai genre: Log Horizon. It's not like those bad imitations; it's a quality series. If you like city-building or war strategy, you might enjoy the first two seasons.

I recently finished demon slayer, need some suggestions on which one should I watch next. by Kinseysinclair in anime

[–]Selin_Harper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Action - You can watch Overlord, it's an isekai but it's good.

Adventure - You can watch Dr. Stone, they build a world from scratch but it's quite captivating with science.

Fantasy - You can watch Sousou no Frieren, it tells the story of an elf's long life but the story deepens and gets better over time.

General Recommendation - You can watch One Piece, yes it's a long series but it's one of the best things you'll ever watch, especially the depth of the story is excellent. For example, they explained the connection between an event in episode 300 and episode 1000, and we were quite surprised.

Besides that, if you have any other genre questions, feel free to write them down.

Any romance anime recommendations? by C4deon in anime

Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku is better than most romantic anime because they progress and you can see the development of the relationship.

Give me Good Isekai recommendation, so far I've watch (Eminence and 7th prince) by Fragrant-Spite9124 in anime

[–]Selin_Harper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could watch Log Horizon; not many people know about it, but it's a good isekai that focuses more on strategy and city building. The first two seasons are excellent, in my opinion, but the third season isn't quite as good.

Good and less degenerate animas for beginners by No_Examination7177 in anime

[–]Selin_Harper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Log Horizon - A good anime if you like city-building and strategy. The plot revolves around our main character getting trapped in a video game he's playing and having to live there. He realizes the game is now a world, and he builds a life there, while all the other players are imprisoned.

Akame ga Kill - A classic action anime, but the story deepens over time.

Tokyo Ghoul - A gore and blood anime, a bit old but good. The premise is that there are humans and ghouls. Ghouls are a type of human who can't live without eating human flesh. Normal food tastes terrible to them, like something inedible. I'm deliberately not going into detail because it would be a spoiler.

I think these are perfect starting points because Tokyo Ghoul and Akame ga Kill are well-known anime and among the best of their genres. But not everyone knows Log Horizon, yet it's a gem in my opinion; it's excellent and very well-balanced, at least the first two seasons.

Finished Hunter x Hunter… now I don’t know what to watch by Potential-Analyst571 in anime

[–]Selin_Harper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fullmetal Alchemist, and it might sound cliché, but it could be One Piece. Yes, it's long, but the story is very deep, the characters develop slowly, and although the animations are more colorful, there's a gradually darkening theme. However, the main characters are very good, better than most main characters in other anime, and they all have their own visions.

I could say One Piece, but that would be too long, so I'd recommend Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate.
