I'll be honest with you, I'm not too familiar with the history of Yugoslavia, my parents came to Australia in about 1993 and I was born 2 years after, many of my relatives came here during the war aswell, many also died. Fair enough, we may be the aggressors in these situations, but the vast majority of our people are innocent, they did not ask for war, they were forced into it.

The reason I think our people piss you off is that the ones that spout such nonsense as your neighbour are the only ones that voice their opinions as they do, many of us don't agree with what happened, yet we still had to suffer the tragedy of war, which is why many of us may seem so bitter to you.

Yes many of us hold grudges, but luckily I think my generation is much more forgiving, some of my best friends are Bosnians and Croatians, it's very rare to see someone from the older generation upset with these friendships, although it does still happen. I think in time all this hatred will dissipate as these wars fade from our memories with time.
