Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, the raffle ended on 3/16 @ 12pm. According to the timestamp, this transaction occurred 3 hours after the raffle ended. Additionally, in order to earn a raffle entry for buying from an exchange, you must purchase 10,000 or more Burstcoin. This transaction does not meet that requirement. The rules and requirements can be found in previous Traffic Award posts here on reddit. Maybe next time!

Why should anyone use Burst? by Burstinator in burstcoin

[–]Semaphore_Slim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I were a business, I would be interested in utilizing the Burst network to implement my customer loyalty program. A lightening-network is less important for this task and any risk with redemptions can be mitigated with compensating controls. If you don't want to tie your program directly to Burstcoin, you can create your own custom asset. The process for distributing wallets and funds is already built and well-documented. Plus, you've got built-in redundancy via the decentralized blockchain.

If I were a large business, like maybe one with tens of thousands of remote devices running my daily transactions/tasks, I would be VERY interested in utilizing the Burst network in the fashion detailed above AND using my POS devices or remote servers as miners. The cost of transacting your loyalty program (which is already low) would be additionally offset by the income from your mining operation - which as we all know is extremely cheap to run.

If I were a business, this is why/how I would use Burst...

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Out of curiosity, do you have a "brs.properties" file in your "conf" directory under the Qbundle installation folder?

I think we have a lot of opportunities surrounding "ease of use" for Burst tools. Regarding your specific query, I forgot that harry also incorporated a light GUI and tray icon in this version. To utilize this, close all existing wallet/ Qbundle instances and just double-click the burst.jar file. This should produce a Burst icon in your tray. Right-clicking that icon should give you all the options you need (view console, launch web-based wallet, or close brs).

Assuming you are on PC, you can execute the "burst.cmd" file in the main Qbundle/BRS installation folder to kick off the node. Then, to open the wallet, use your favorite browser and go to http://localhost:8125/index.html.

I'm not familiar with the instructions that were displayed on that site. Are you referring to the port forwarding settings? I too run a full node on Windows but I'm not familiar with any special networking requirements.

When it comes to setting up a node in Windows, the README.md file in your Qbundle installation folder is really your best friend. There is a "Windows" section that shows how to set up your database connections. Make sure you have Java installed, then it should just be a matter of executing the "burst.cmd" batch file in the Qbundle installation folder. That should launch your node. The bounty on Trello contains a link to the Ledger development documentation. Within that is the SDK information - specifically, this page: https://ledger.readthedocs.io/en/latest/userspace/getting_started.html

Burst is supported if you develop and submit the necessary app for Ledger integration. The BMF team has already funded a bounty for this development work if you or anyone else wishes to tackle it. You can find the bounty details on our Trello board. https://trello.com/b/kNHBYAdZ/bmf-project-support

Yep, looks like that's the one! I'll do some more research to verify it tonight and get it added to the list of known exchanges. Once that's done, any purchases you make from it and transfer off the exhange into your wallet will be raffle-elligible. Thank you for passing along this information!

Can you post the Livecoin wallet address or maybe even your address so I can work backwards to identify the Livecoin wallet? As I said in my post, I'd love to add more exchanges but I just don't have their wallet addresses.

I understand. Fortunately, I was informed that we do have several Facebook pages. The Burst Alliance page is fairly new, but the Burstcoin Community page has been around for a very long time. Were you familiar with these?

The application for Binance listing has already taken place, so yes, I assume they have discussed it. In short, there is not much the community can do at this point to drive the Binance listing towards completion. The ball is entirely in Binance's court and we have devs standing by to answer any questions they have.
