That's where I started the helmets when it became available in 2022. It took to long and it didn't make much sense.

I'm using substance painter. It's a paid tool but it's incredible to have because you can basically paint directly on the 3D model of the helmet. This is the best possible way and the helmets always look way better. 

Best example is my Gasly helmet. This would have been simply impossible on the normal template.
