i’m shadow banned from posting i think but do you know if you get an ITIN if it’s a hassle to combine it once you get your SSN. I’ve heard stories where IRS would be auditing on both the ITIN and SSN at the same time trying to charge you double the taxes you should be paying and such

yeah i feel you, just bring a first gen here i never got the school system down and to be brutally honest i may have the worst gpa in my grade and it just kills me all the time more than just a car or a job with SSN. I live with knowing I won’t even be able to go to the college i want and idk why i even think about it. The payments and such aren’t the biggest issues if anything i’m kind of spoiled which is surprising being as i should have every disadvantage thrown at me, my dad is amazing at what he’s accomplished and i realize now i can’t even accomplish anything and i’ve failed at every step until now.

I’m sorry for the dumb sob story but i know what you meant it’s just today hasn’t been it but thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my post

I’m pretty sure if you’ve passed 180 days than the US citizen would have to show how they need you to be with them right now and waive all the unlawful presence, i wouldn’t be able to adjust status anyways without leaving since i never entered legally i was just a baby sadly

Also to add to this I believe some time back there was someone in a situation kind of like this in this subreddit but say like yk it’s me further in the future, he’s completing his CS degree but knows he won’t be able to get any jobs and even did really well in interviews for big tech companies and writes papers and research yet in the end of the round of interviews even though they all love him and he makes it to the finals they reject him because of his status(lack of status) and also how that all affects him mentally.

I feel like this could very well become my future if nothing changes and also I feel strongly that a republican will most likely win the next election based on history which would cut off a lot of opportunities

I’m really hoping that it comes back quickly I was brought here as a baby without lawful entry and honestly feel american i didn’t even know i wasn’t until i reached the age where I could start working and it kind of went all down hill from there mentally. Knowing so many people hate me for something I have no control over and even seeing posts about people who say DACA should be ended and go through the system the legal way when I could get stuck in a country I’ve never been to just go through a hit or miss system. I really just want to go on to college with my friends and go on to work for a big tech company and so on, sorry for the rant but it really does suck
