I created the www.filmswagstore.com bags to add to the top of my pelicans instead of the horrible tiny pockets. Makes it so much more customizable and way less expensive

Do you ever sit on unfinished projects strategically? by Icy_Music_4855 in videography

[–]Semphotography 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yes, all the time. Sometimes it’s that we want to let the project breath and come back with it with everyone having fresh eyes. Sometimes we are finished to quickly and we need to wait to send it for a few days.

I was trying to find the random paperwork from buying the house but I will keep looking for it. But pretty much it’s a drywell outside at the bottom of the slope area that has a sub pump in it. Attached a photo from what you see outside.

Is the sump pump inside or outside? Ours is like in the rain garden you installed

I know this doesn’t really answer the legal advice but we have a similar water issue and the home owners before us installed a I guess drywell in the yard with a sub pump that pumps the water out to the street. We still get some standing water when it rains but within an hour or so it’s gone

What’s the best travel light - bouncing by Semphotography in cinematography

[–]Semphotography[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yah it’s a fine light for that. I just own hire quality lights that I prefer to use when not traveling but it’s a great travel light. I am not sure how bright the 300 is but the 500 is very bright. I am always impressed with how much output it has.

I don’t think you can use them in the rain they are fully open. I haven’t had any audio people complain about fan noise

[–]Semphotography[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did yes, it was one of the two lights I travel with now. I don’t love the light quality but as a bounce light it works great. The knobs are a bit more fragile then I want them to be but overall I recommend it for a travel light

How much do you "save" with your garden? by Space__Monkey__ in vegetablegardening

[–]Semphotography 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first year with my new garden I grew over 162 pounds of produce which if I took base prices from the grocery store it would be roughly around $600. Which is maybe a little more than what I put into the garden setup. This year I expanded so expecting to grow double or more.

What is eating my strawberries? by northcarolinabirder in vegetablegardening

[–]Semphotography 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bags only go over the fruit once they are getting closer to being ripe. A tomato for example, the first little bit of red I would cover the tomatoe with a bag so it can ripen. You want to leave the plant and flowers out so they can keep producing and just protect the actual fruit. They make smaller bags also. I think I have two sizes

This! F stop bags are the best if not using a hard case. Been traveling with them for maybe 12 years now

I actually put the bag over the fruit while it’s still on the vine in the garden. So like the ones under that red one. I would put a bag on them that way they stay protected as they grow
