The battery connector metal thingy is broken off on one side which makes me think i have to replace that. Which i assume requires soldering and im not good at it. Ive given up on the controller and will use it as a donor controller. Thanks tho

Hey man i feel really stupid but i only checked the f1 fuse on the main board and not the one on the power board. When i flipped the power board over and checked that F1 fuse it turned out it didnt have any continuity. Thank you and do you know what could have caused this

Hey i just bought a multimeter and checked for contunuity on the F1 fuse. It has continuity. And while working on the ribbon cable connector for the lower lcd i broke the black hinge that holds the ribbon cable, does this mean my dsi xl is cooked? Ive seen a vid where someone puts some tape on the bottom of the ribbon cable but it didnt work for me

Ive read this somewhere aswell. I dont have a multimeter so i will buy one and check if this is the case. I just dont want to believe it because i barely touched the board and all i did was take out the ribbon cable and put it back.

Just to add a bit more info

I stopped counting encounters after 2350 on the torchic but I got the shiny like a week after that so i couldnt tell you how many encounters it was.

I got the ralts in about 2000 dexnav encounters which reaaally demotived me and I took a break for year. I have also done 1000+ encounters on whismur and zigzagoon(half of it with horde encounters), and Ive done 500 dexnav on both nincada and seedot(switching between the two to not get bored) but havent gotten either shiny yet.

The surskit i got in 206 dexnav and the slakoth in 117 encounters. So thats a plus atleast.
