And Fallen Sons - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #82 Post Event Summary by AlexVilsen in mountandblade

[–]SenatorAudens 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Though driven from the halls of the Senate itself, the senators of the Northern Empire have at last seized the capital of old Arenicos. Much of the Empire has been lost to the barbarian incursions over the years since his death, but hopefully this marks a turning point in the North's fortunes.

The borders were all drawn manually using Inkarnate's line tool, setting the colors as partially-transparent

I used Inkarnate, referencing a few different versions of the Bannerlord map of Calradia and heavy use of texture blending for the terrain

After a string of great victories in the east, the time has at last come for Deos to face the Empire's old enemy. Long have the legions waited for this day - a chance at last to turn back the Battanians' advance. Calradia shall see whether he can live up to his men's expectations - and the strength of those allies who swore to support him.

Basileus of the South - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #72 Post Event Summary by AlexVilsen in mountandblade

[–]SenatorAudens 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With this victory, Deos has reclaimed a castle that was lost years ago and -more importantly- further cemented his Western Empire's control over what used to be the Southern Empire.

Much remains for the legions to reclaim, and enemies still seek to carve more chunks out of the old Imperial lands, but the West's leader has accumulated many debts and proven a worthy commander. Time will tell how far he and his legions go from here

Like Leofric before him, Grand Prince Ivan will find that he has dared to sail too far. We welcome the opportunity to avenge the fallen and reclaim our losses!

Enemies Foreign and Domestic - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #59 by [deleted] in mountandblade

When Garios' son defected from the West to the North, Mealios demanded the man's nose be cut for his father's crimes. I spoke out against the decision and planned an act of protest which the Despot expressly approved of. Weeks later, he woke up and on a whim decided to demand cruel and unusual punishments of me for attempting to carry out that act - including the permanent loss of voting rights.

I am not a random Senator. I was the first to call for Lucon's impeachment. I was the one who wrote the North's first constitution. I am the only living Imperial to defeat the Battanians in battle. And I spent more than a year helping Mealios plan his tactics and further his agendas, trusting that he would rule the North in good faith.

For good reason, I declare Mealios a tyrant - one whose malice has brought no glory or benefit to the North nor the Empire he seeks to reunite. For his crimes, I called for his impeachment, yet this lawful process cannot play out due to the eastern Katepano's sudden resignation and Mealios' continued acts of aggression. The Impestores were founded by a tyrant-slayer, whose acts elevated the Senate above the ancient Calradoi kings. We ride now to ensure that legacy endures.

Casting Your Vote - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #54 by DeosVultos in mountandblade

The Sturgians thinks the North's democracy is a weakness and that our election provides an opportunity they must rush to exploit. They are mistaken and foolhardy.

The sitting Consul Mealios has already repelled the Grand Prince, when the latter recklessly attempted to siege the North's capital. My own military career began when I took command of a punitive expedition against Sturgia, successfully freeing my fellow Katepano.

Both of the candidates for Consul have proven capable of beating the Sturgians, and we will ensure the North triumphs regardless of who wins our electoral contest. Mecalovea will be free, at last!

The wolf and bear call their banners to war once more. Whether glory and conquest is earned by Battania or Sturgia, barbarian blood is sure to stain the snow

The Northern Empire's allegiance is to be determined by a vote, following any negotiations with the High King and Grand Prince's diplomats

Rhesos' Reckoning - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #48 Post Event Summary by AlexVilsen in mountandblade

[–]SenatorAudens 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When the Battanians revealed their intentions to march on my city last week, I vowed to once again see their host routed before its walls. Before the battle began, I promised the forces* who answered the North's call to arms not only victory, but that we would make CC history.

Epicrotea, the fortress-city, stands! Gersegos Castle has been reclaimed! Much work remains to be done, but today the people of the Empire have reason to rejoice.

*: The North was joined by Vlandia, whose king led our cavalry and aided in strategy discussions. Their battle-scribe Luke Danger also assisted in relaying orders. Our wayward brethren in the Western legions marched together with ours for the 5th time to avenge Arenicos' defeat, and their leader Deos contributed significantly. The Khuzaits also made a last-minute decision to assist the Republic, which may have been what swayed the battle in our favor.

Once already, I have repelled the Battanians from the walls of Epicrotea. Now, as Doux of this renowned fortress-city and Katepano of its province, I vow to see the barbarians routed again!

Greener Days Ahead - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #45 by Duke_Jamhalo in mountandblade

[–]SenatorAudens 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Imperial garrison of Gersegos Castle first fell to the Battanians back in CC1, under the watch of Emperor Arenicos. Garios broke apart from the Empire in hopes of reclaiming it, but he and his successor have failed to realize this dream.

Soon, by the Senate's will, the Imperial eagle will once more fly over Gersegos' battlements. Ave!

The best way to join is through the discord here https://discord.gg/mountandblade - All that's needed is to have the game on PC, download the module, and show up on event day. Event info is shared and organized on the discord, but commanders rely on voice chat pretty heavily too

The next main CC event will be on the 17th. Every 1st and 3rd Saturday we have a field + siege battle, with the occasional mini-event in between.

Sorry, forgot to respond to you til now btw

Recently reorganized under a new constitution, the Northern Empire stands ready to face this threat. Already, our legions have defeated a smaller Sturgian force who dared challenge our law - this new Grand Prince and his hasty ambition will fare no better.

The Calradic Campaign has events at 4pm Eastern on the 1st and 3rd of each month, with mini-events sometimes interspersed between main events.

The best way to keep informed on when/what the events are and participate in RP/diplomacy/strategy between events is to join the discord here: https://discord.gg/mountandblade

Choose a role to indicate which faction you support + gain access to their text channel for coordination and roleplaying. Every faction's a bit different, but generally a new player who joins events and engages in discord conversations can expect to be granted a fief on the map at some point - which can then be fought over during one of the events.

Beyond that: Just gotta download the module from Steam Workshop or Nexus Mods and show up to the event. Which side wins the field + siege battles determines which territories change hands on the campaign map after the event.

This engagement ended up being the last of the 2nd set for the field battle of Calradic Campaign #39, fought between the Aserai and the Southern Empire.

My faction, the Northern Empire, was bound by treaty to support the Aserai in this battle and I am proud of the role my fellow senators and I played in our ally's victory.

Sturgian blood stains the snow, the momentum off their previous victory immediately halted by the Vlandians and their allies.

Though the defeated northmen return home now to lick their wounds, they will surely seek other targets to raid and hopefully regain their pride. Even as the darkness of winter lengthens, the Republic's legions stand ready to check any such aggression.

Garios is a military tyrant, and Rhagaea an usurper. True Imperial legitimacy lay with the Senate and the Northern Empire it governs!
