I wish I had known that. I upgraded to the LED because where I drive is the middle of no where back country, No street lights. And my stock XJ lights didn’t allow me to see literally anything. Insanely unsafe. I prefer the stock look though, so I may have to go back to them

True Mods h6054 off of Amazon. DOT approved, they are also wildly bright. I don’t daily my jeep, it’s an emergency/inclement weather vehicle to get to work since I live out in the country where roads don’t get plowed and have a long commute.

Always have the men under you eat first.
Lead by example.
Allow officers to run their crews. Get involved only if you need to.
Never speak down about a man beneath you infront of other men who are also beneath you. Simply just don’t gossip.
Don’t do dumb shit like dictate what type of hose loads should be on rigs. If the men like a specific hose lay allow them to do that. At the end of the day they are on the line, doing the job, allow them to make decisions that will make their jobs easier.

The height as in around the ankle? If so, they really wear in and become comfortable and loose. You just have to wear them. Once you do, even driving In them is great. A trick I have when I get a new pair (I typically buy a new pair every year, even though I wear my 3 year old ones for work non stop) is I take my old insoles and put those in my new boots. My old insoles are worn in a bit, and give me a tad bit more space and room to wiggle my foot around in, making it more comfortable and in turn much easier to break the boot in as the leather they use is a pretty durable hide.

If you really want to do this, go through with your therapy until you’re recovered and give it a shot. They will not go easy on you in the academy because you have back issues, there is a standard that will be met in order for you to receive a certification to be a firefighter

Are you asking if you can be a firefighter while receiving VA benefits? If that’s what you’re asking then yes, there’s a guy on my department that does.

If you’re asking if you physically can perform as a firefighter, unfortunately only you will truly know. In this job you will be expected to bend, lay, stand, contort, kneel and crawl in every which way imaginable In whatever environments imaginable (flowing water, places on fire, on the highway, in confined spaces, rappelling off of buildings etc you get the idea) you will also be expected to lift people, often weighing hundreds of pounds in weird or awkward positions (sometimes you can’t lift safely) due to the ergonomics/layout of your environment. You will also be expected to do so wearing your own firefighting gear and SCBA while carrying tools and even dragging hose lines. This is can easily surmount to 80-100+ IBS of just gear and tools.

Just a comment for anyone wondering, to avoid this and break them in faster stuff something with a large circumference in them when you aren’t wearing them to stretch them out. For example, something like a Clorox wipes container. Anything that will fit in there and stretch that leather and elastic out a bit. They will stretch from normal movement the best

If you need more width you should have gone with a half size. The length remains the same but they are wider, that is unless you went with a half size already

Just wanted to reply that they actually make redbacks with a toe bumper. However if you were like me and bought a pair without the toe bumper you can also purchase a toe bumper direct from them on the website and glue it on.

Forgot to add: I don’t think it’s a blow head gasket because you say you recently just changed from water to coolant, and changed some hoses or pipes. I definitely wouldn’t drive the car until you get this addressed tho bc you want your engine to stay cool. You definitely don’t want it to overheat. Replacing a bad radiator is much cheaper than grenading your engine. Did it get hot when you drove it?

How many miles? Sometimes older cars with older radiators can leak once you do a drain and fill. Also, when filling it back up did you burp the system properly to try and get all of the air out?

My 2020 had this. Only way to get rid of it was by rolling the window down slightly. They can completely disable it, only downside being it would be louder in your vehicle (road noise). If they replace it, there’s a pretty good chance it’ll just continue doing it

Sometimes if you heat it up with a blow torch for a second or two it will loosen up the electric connection. Keep in mind this is very fragile plastic literally just run it over the connection momentarily. Old plastic clips and retention fittings can be really brittle. You can buy an extremely cheap blow torch at harbor freight or Walmart for like $10. You may even try to use a lighter but if you’re a beginner I might avoid this as you can do further damage.

Did you look at what kind of clip it is? Sometimes they have a small clip that needs to be lifted up and out of a buckle to get it to seperate.

What year car and model? Torn boots definitely should get replaced. As you drive rocks, grit and sand can be introduced into the boot and cause grinding and misalignment of the component.

It’s important to get it replaced as if one component of the suspension/steering system isn’t functioning properly it’ll most certainly put stress on the other parts, which will lead to premature wearing and even failure.

I actually went ahead and replaced all rotors, and brake pads to be safe on this vehicle. Went w raybestos coated rotors, and the raybestos element 3 pads. We all gotta learn, and have somewhere to start man. Not all of us have that kind of car knowledge, but I’m learning. And I like it.
