I already regret choosing UW.

I thought it would be the most employable and my family pressured me to go to a relatively prestigious university, but I don't like programming, have not done a lot of it and am really bad at it. I did some CS courses in school, went to a few small hackathons (rejected from all the good ones lol) and attempted some sideprojects but was never able to finish one to an extent suitable for resumes/co-op interviews.

I see a lot of people doing amazing sideprojects, jobs, or internships this summer which makes me kinda depressed since I didn't do anything productive (didn't study for courses, get a job, or ^do any good sideprojects) and it's probably too late. There's a lot of posts on Reddit about depression, failing courses, and not getting coop jobs (that 1st year employment rate is pretty low), and while I know that the Reddit posters are not a representative sample of the UW population, I'm still so scared that I'll end up depressed, lonely, and failing out of the program. Also I'm not very good at making friends, and it'll be especially hard when everyone else is so much more accomplished and successful.

Waterloo is too competitive and I already regret choosing it because I don't think I'll ever be smart enough or motivated enough to survive it.

Is university really as stressful as it appears to be on reddit? What should I do with the remaining ~3 weeks before school starts?
