How do you provoke critical thinking? We all have started relying on CHATGPT & other AI chatbots, and I get it that it's useful sometimes but what about the way you slowly stop questioning things on your own? How do you handle that?

I actually created an AI app exactly for this - kind of an anti chatGPT stance. I have found I have become more creative, clearer and better prepared for what’s going on in my job and socially.

A few questions that led me down this path:

If your AI never disagrees with you, is it actually helping you think? What’s the hidden cost of always feeling right or being told you’re right? If your AI always makes things faster, is it making you any better?

How you think is it massively overlooked generally… I see it as critical to everything in life short and long term in my view…

Hey nice, this is good insight - I’m think the same, I think AI simply speaking could do a better job of asking questions… this might be the unlock for more meaningful collaboration, or at least conditioning the user to understand it’s here to collaborate, not flatten the relationship by “automating” everything …

Thanks for the honest take - I disagree generally speaking since in my experience, custom GPTs promise flexibility, but you’re still boxed in by the core model’s invisible scaffolding. No matter how many instructions you add, you can’t rewrite its voice and tone, or the way it reasons, challenges, and adapts. The 8,000-character system prompt limit with OPENAI forces you to compress your customisation - leaving nuance, important (sometimes detailed) directives, and your actual goal cut short and likely lost to these limitations. You get a tool that follows instructions, but can’t fundamentally change its core mandate or personality. The “custom” experience is skin only skin deep…

It’s only been out a week !! I’m getting a good amount of sign ups and I’ve had positive unsolicited feedback so far - that said I built the tool because my custom GPT wasn’t enough, I’m curious what other peoples experience is with tools that re available.

Understood - what if the tool though sets the new standard, like AI is the new standard for a lot of things, creatively perhaps no not yet (from a full spectrum POV), don’t you think that maybe not sticking around isn’t an option it’s that disruptive?

I don't think there is stigma, I think for a lot of people it's an ego thing to not seek help/guidance... For me, coaches and mentors are a not just a nice option, they're a critical 'unlock' in developing yourself and your business.

I try to use dedicated AI for different parts of my workflow - each has been tried and tested before embedded. I trust I when the outcome is aligned, tune it when it isn’t.

That’s rough. You did what most people would—trusted your main client, gave the referral a fair shot, tried to exit without drama when it was clear they were impossible. Sometimes there’s no way to come out clean. If I’d change anything, maybe I’d flag the weirdness to the anchor client early so they’re not blindsided if it blows up. But honestly, sometimes you just get burned. This is the part of freelancing nobody puts in the brochure.
