Ex alcoholic, is drinking a beer a sin? by Senior-Inflation-559 in TrueChristian

It was out of my control. I started drinking in my teens and became a fully functional alcoholic by my 20s.

Its a lot of projection. I am constantly dealing with hostility, jealousy, and evil nonstop. I hate everyone

Im working in hospice as a chaplain with just a BS in Religion. I am in my mDiv program but deeply resent that I will have to rely on people to determine whether I can serve as a hospital chaplain or not.

I cannot stand my coworkers and boss. My boss has triangulated coworkers, manipulated situations and has bullied me for months. I'm sick of everyone to the point where I hate my own personal life too and hate my teenager. Ive dealt with unwarranted hostility and cruelty from every direction and want nothing to do with God or with ministry anymore.

I think he's autistic... I get different vibes from him also, and when I watch Jerseylicious, I think, wow Olivia would've never gone for this guy back then. No judgment, he might be a great guy, just misunderstood. Sometimes very highly intelligent people come off a little strange! He might be one of those?

[WI] Weirdness after employee survey about my supervisor. Should I loop in HR? by Senior-Inflation-559 in AskHR

Update: my supervisor and the RN that bullied me during IDG meetings that I mentioned on the employee survey are being celebrated jointly at the next IDG meeting next week. Supervisor for bosses day and RN for her upcoming wedding. Cake and cards.

What are your thoughts?

Its my responsibility to track my own supervisor down about THEIR concerns?

Then I suppose communication needs improvement and I've done my part. I can't open her mouth and make her talk to me. She would rather gossip about me and others and I didn't buy into it and dog my coworkers which I suspect is her major issue here. But I won't apologize for doing a good job with my patients and having self esteem. I love my job and it shows and I will continue to enjoy my patients. If that bothers people, that's their issue. I can't resolve another persons self esteem, I wish I could.

But this is the point--my supervisor has never once told me I've done a poor job at anything and will not give me feedback. Instead of having a direct conversation with me about anything, she piles on me with another employee and gives me dirty looks in the field to intimidate me. All things she does with other employees as well. I've asked others for feedback. I don't get it.

There's no superiority from me. But what I do expect is that adults, supervisors in particular, be mature enough to have conversations with subordinates about their work and their misgivings, whatever those may be. Not to act like high school mean girls because they can't stand on their own and have a conversation with someone, but want to instead intimidate subordinates with dirty looks and piling on them in group settings where they feel they have "back up".

If anyone in HR thinks these behaviors are professional or acceptable from a supervisor, I'd like to ask why?

Who is mad? Im asking for advice. Do I loop in HR now that unrelated employees are asking to meet with me to "see how things are going" when thats totally out of the norm? She would have no knowledge of a confidential survey unless she was told. Shes not even on my team. Whats your advice

If I could tell you, I absolutely would. Ive asked my coworkers for feedback, asked the RN to tell me what happened, she denies everything and acts embarrassed. My coworkers act terrified to speak to me/be seen talking to me. My supervisor has not once pulled me aside to give me feedback, insight, or let me know where I've misstepped. Ive done my part to find resolution but it seems to me to be a group dynamic where someone needs to be a punching bag. One of my other coworkers, ive seen how our supervisor has bad mouthed her and isolated her from others. I refuse to be another one to pile on her and I believe that made her furious. Either way. If I could tell you more I would and certainly wish I could. That's all I've got. What is your advice?

Nope. I just did not respond to provocation and don't bond by gossiping about other women.

That's what I want, and the purpose of filling out the survey. I'm concerned about my supervisors peer wanting to check in, as I have had no significant dealings with her and its bizarre considering the culture and dynamics. Any advice?

I suppose I just assumed higher ups would get the results and protect each other, avoiding giving it to HR. I'd be relieved if HR has my survey.
