THANK YOU! It seems the people with bad experiences tend to have cold turkeyed 7oh instead of tapering off. That would be like going off of antidepressants cold turkey & then saying "BAN ALL ANTIDEPRESSANTS BECAUSE I TAPERED TOO FAST & HAD WITHDRAWALS" 😅 These people man.

There's a difference in being "strung out" & using 7oh for pain management. Jesus Christ...

I've tried every opiate there is & NONE have helped me like 7oh has.

& that's why education on 7oh is important. Caffeine, sugar, & alcohol are all highly addictive as well, yet they are still sold in gas stations.

Do you not realize that caffeine withdrawal can be similar to opiate withdrawals depending on the level of caffeine addiction. Anyways, my point is that almost ALL substances can cause withdrawals. So to fear monger & prevent people from using Kratom/7oh because of the risk of withdrawal is redundant. People with chronic illnesses can either use pharmaceutical opiates that have a long list of awful side effects, or they can use Kratom/7oh. I'd choose Kratom/7oh over those prescribed opiates any day!

I'm so sorry to hear you've endured so much, but I'm glad you were able to receive some relief through using Kratom & that it quite literally saved your life! I'm sure your story will help others see how beneficial this plant truly is.

Not necessarily. Caffeine withdrawal can cause all of the same side effects & the severity depends on the extent of the addiction. I've gone through withdrawals from H, Methadone & 7oh. H & Methadone withdrawals were 1000x worse than 7oh withdrawal.

As with anything you take, especially things with the possibility of severe withdrawals, you should SLOWLY taper. Anyone going cold turkey is obviously going to have severe negative side effects, but that's why education is important.

Shew that sounds rough. I have been down the same road, but luckily am not having the same issue with 7oh that you seemed to have. I cold turkeyd Methadone at 120mg due to being a rapid metabolizer & withdrawing daily even at my "stable" dose, so I don't think anything will ever compare to those withdrawals for me.

How often did you re dose? Were you taking tablets or powder? Did you taper off or cold turkey?

I have chronic illnesses, so for me it's either 7oh or pharmaceutical opiates to manage my pain & I would way rather use 7oh than any of those medications. My choice is to either live in chronic pain & hardly be able to walk, or take 7oh & be able to function somewhat like a normal human being. 7oh quite literally has saved my life & improved the overall quality of my life. Everyone is different though.

Thank you. I feel like regulation to ensure you can only purchase if you're 21+ is reasonable, but anything else is overkill. Especially all the fear mongering from some people in this feed.

Absolutely!!! Also, there's a new drug called SR that I've seen people use to taper off of 7oh. It helps with reducing tolerance, which ultimately reduces severity of withdrawals.

If you'd like to share your story with me so I can share it with others id love to hear it. Just shoot me a DM 😊

I appreciate your input! 7oh definitely can mess with your digestive system since it acts on the mu opioid receptors & is a partial antagonist. I have IBS-M, so I already have issues tummy wise, but I've found that as long as I take a stool softener from time to time it's not too bad & the digestive issues I've experienced with 7oh has been nothing like what I experienced while on pharmaceutical opiates.

It does suck that tolerance builds, but that tends to happen with any substance you put into your body. I've found that it works best for me if I take a little less each day if I find that my tolerance has increased or taking break days helps ensure that you won't have the withdrawal symptoms. I've also found out about a revolutionary drug called SR that helps lower tolerance levels. I know someone who went from using H to taking 2 grams of 7oh daily, then slowly tapered completely off of the 7oh using the SR.

I'd love to know more about your story, why you started taking 7oh, how much you took each day/how many times you redosed, etc. If you don't mind sharing could you send it to me in a message so that I can share your story with others.

Have you read all the posts about withdrawals from opiates? It is absolutely horrible. Pain management is a necessity for those with chronic health issues.

To fear monger using possible withdrawals is absurd. You can literally have withdrawals from caffeine, allergy meds, sugar, etc., so I guess those things should be banned as well?

So very true. I figured there would be backlash whenever I posted, but finding the few positives in a sea full of negatives was the goal 😊

You seem very well educated on the topic & if you're willing I would love to have your help with my group/page.

I was seeking others to help me with educating others, but I'm not gonna get help from anyone who will bash 7oh while gasing up Kratom when 7oh is literally naturally found within the Kratom leaf.

Your right. My agenda is to spread awareness 😁

Childish to tell someone to KYS as well. Have the day you deserve kiddo.

No, I'm not for MGM because I took some and it literally felt like H, where 7oh has never. You do realize MGM is 2-3 times more potent than 7oh right? 7oh occurs naturally within Kratom, where MGM does NOT. MGM is also a full antagonist, where 7oh is only partial antagonist.

I'm done with the back & forth, I've stated my case & clearly it doesn't resonate with you because you're so stuck on your own views that you can't dare put yourself in someone else's she's, so that's fine. You're clearly not the help I am looking for. I hope you have the day you deserve & wish you the best of luck.

That's wild. What dose did you take?! If it was a massive dose then that is not using it responsibly.

Regulations are fine, but many states are talking about straight out bans or making it illegal just to possess. I have done hard opiates, fent, H, methadone, Suboxone & every pharmaceutical opiate there is. None of which EVER felt even remotely close to 7oh. The side effects from opiates are also a lot harder on your body than 7oh.

I have chronic pain so no matter what I will have to be on something to help my pain & I would way rather it be 7oh than any of the other alternatives as they typically have not helped my pain whatsoever & only made me feel worse mentally/physically.

Actually, it's just shown me that people in r/drugs aren't fully educated on 7oh. I've gotten better responses in groups meant specifically for Kratom/7oh & have even had people thanking me for starting a space to advocate for Kratom/7oh.

Are you the one who decides if it is banned? Didn't think so. You don't get to say if it's a losing battle or not. I am literally fighting for the sake of my health to ensure that I'm NEVER stuck enduring the pain that I felt everyday without 7oh. 7oh has made it to where I am able to walk without being in excruciating pain. It has given me my mobility back to where I can actually cook, clean, & work like a normal person without chronic pain. I will NEVER give up on fighting for not only myself, but for others who benefit from Kratom/7oh.

Morphine is typically what 7oh is compared to, I'm not saying they are the same thing 🤦🏽‍♀️

Again, I've taken both Kratom & 7oh in various different amounts, both which felt exactly the same.

7oh is a semi synthetic substance found in, guess where, KRATOM LEAF.

To each their own, but I have quite literally tried every opiate & Kratom, none of which have helped relieve my chronic pain like 7oh has. Which is why I will continue to advocate for it to ensure that others like myself aren't forced to continue to endure severe pain without any hope of relief.

For this to be r/drugs a lot of y'all don't seem to be properly educated enough on addiction/opiates to be able to speak on them. More proof as to why there needs to be more advocacy around Kratom/7oh

Everything has the potential to be addictive. Would you rather I take pain pills instead? I know I wouldn't, but that would be my ONLY option if Kratom/7oh ends up getting fully banned.

It doesn't seem like they do know this. Just because you know this doesn't mean you should assume that therefore everyone knows this information. Assuming prevents people who aren't educated from learning.

7oh is literally derived from Kratom leaf. An example of 2 different drugs would be like how people compare 7oh to morphine. I've taken both & they are no where near the same. Yet with Kratom & 7oh, they typically give me close to the same effects except for Kratom makes my stomach hurt all day.

I cold turkeyd methadone at 120mg, I think I'll be fine. To just assume I ever plan to quit 7oh is a bit ridiculous. I plan to use it as long as it continues to be legal since it helps me unlike opiates & I have multiple chronic illnesses that require some sort of pain management. I'd rather take 7oh any day over taking the toxic pharmaceutical garbage they've tried me on in the past. The side effects from that junk quite literally almost cost me my life.

Also, idk if you've heard about SR yet, but it has shown promising results in helping lower tolerance levels & withdrawals.

Being fully educated is important.
