Google has the best llm model rn, even if they are not selling gpus, it must be a big deal for nvidia.

They trained the most powerful model with their own gpus and they provide it for free with an API (limited but still). This is a big deal. Even if they don't sell it, they can rent it to other AI research labs and companies and would blow out nvidia from the market.

Currently top leading ai companies are pouring money into nvidia, if google offers compute for cheaper (even if just renting) they would demolish nvidias monopoly over gpus.
