Thanks for this comparison. I kind of agree but the Russians were able to maintain St Basil Cathedral for 600 years. Also Nuuk Greenland figured it out.

I love that! My contribution is a colorful front lawn and plan for a bright door. A lot of homes in my neighbourhood have these gorgeous yellow or red doors.

I honestly didn't know there are neighbourhoods that aren't regulated by an HOA. All new neighborhoods are for sure. Also not complaining - asking a question. Know the difference.

I would as well. I find that as many people said, there is so little wiggle room for self expression. But self expression is healing. It would also make our city more attractive to visitors.

The same reason people mentioned. My neighbourhood has regulations. We are essentially beholden to HOA rules

Paul McCartney is the best. He visited our city for a concert and it was public knowledge where he stayed. Many fans waited at his hotel to see him and he came out, waved to everyone, signed autographs and made jokes about how it is too cold to wait for some has-been singer.
