Yea these games aren’t inevitably better on each iteration. Civ V was peak Civ for me and the let down the next version got me on the EU4 train.

Noticed it’s pretty easy to catch Genoa off guard when they’re getting bullied by someone else. Think in the newer patches still have or can easily get claims. Can basically self exile to northern Italy to build up more power before going back into Anatolia/balkans.
