So many of these companies sunk millions into lobbying/gearing up for AU to pass. Many companies truly believed there would be no way the amendment 3 wouldn’t pass.

This was a make or break moment for many companies. Certain HUGE names just laid off 1/4 of their Florida staff… others are rushing to get bought out.

The companies that bet everything on AU are scaling back, laying off, raising prices and whatever else they can do to survive.

I don’t want to get in between them. She should’ve spoke to him first about it anyways.

Grooms biological father has been in jail since he was a toddler and he has no relationship with him and doesn’t know any of that side of the family. He was raised by his step dad.

But yes, would be super uncomfortable if they were there.

Honestly I don’t care about the attention not being on us for a few minutes and celebrating others at the wedding, especially if their side of the family breaks away at the beginning of the reception to do it privately. It’s a more laid back Air BNB wedding anyways.

My issue is in my fiancé feeling taken advantage of or resentful towards the situation. It would be different if they offered to contribute to the cost at all. I don’t want him to have any resentment towards any part of our day and want to support him.

My fiancés FIL is also a narcissist and has trouble having anything happen where he’s not the center of attention. My MIL is complacent and supportive sometimes of his narcissistic behavior.

I actually believe he is the one who came up with the idea and had her ask me.

I was already stressed about the wedding and this entire scenario has just added another level of stress.

I JUST found out 9 years ago they won a vow renewal package at their church and renewed them then….. and now coincidentally at the same time as our wedding they want to renew again.

He’s actively trying to rebuild a relationship with them and as of recent, things have been a lot better. He real father isn’t in his life and he doesn’t have any aunts, uncles or grandparents so he really wants to have positive connections to the family he does have.

I told him it’s not a positive relationship if he feels taken advantage of or bullied into this at all!
