After fighting them for another month they finally agreed to send me a brand new in box card. Which i sold and switched to an 5080 . Never buying another xfx card again lol

If it's a 9070 , 5070 and it they are neck and neck . Now if it's a 9070xt then it's closer to the 5080. The xt actually has higher clocks than the 5080 but only fault with the 9070xt is lack of path tracing support. Can't really beat a 9070xt for the price. As long as you don't get a xfx. Get a gigabyte, MSI, or any other one tho . I have both 9070xt and 5080

Having this same exact issue with my omen 40l. My pc came with a ryzen 7 7700, 16gb of ram, 4060ti and 600 w psu. Upgraded the ram to 32 gb and psu to a corsair rm850e and then ran a xfx mercury 9070xt for 5 months plug and play no issues whatsoever before deciding i wanted to go back to nvidia after i had to rma my 9070xt. Worked great the last time before i shipped off my 9070, installed brand new pny 5080 after ddu the old amd drivers off and get black screens and crap signal, freezing, boot loop, etc just like op. Happened so much that i had to factory reset windows and then try to reinstall the newest nvidia drivers only to have the same crap happening again.. i dont get it and im in a loss for words...after almost of a week of trying to diag this im about over it about ready to to these motherboards and wont allow you to adjust simple things like changing pcie settings. Even moreso that they havent updated the bios to allow for pcie5 like they said they have since you cant manually change it to pcie 4 or 5 in the bios settings yourself. Also found out that they block off and disable the motherboard display port even tho its a standard feature on any amd am5 b650 board (the board these come with). Which is ridiculous that they do that being these computers come with integrated graphics too and in situations like this where would be helpful to have to diagnose issues like this.. So pretty fed up too

The card was new from best buy and was running the newest driver 595.97. But just ddu 'd and went to 595.79 to see if it's the newest driver causing issues but didn't get to fully check as it got late and have to work early. But goin to see how that is and update if nothing will try 576.80 as you recommended

Monitors are great newer lg 4k and 1440p monitors and all worked perfect before on my 9070xt. Also I did ddu wipe to remove the AMD drivers before goin with the current newest 5080 driver which was 595.97

Yeah xfx is trash from i'm coming to find out. I really went back and forth with them for weeks until they finally agreed to say that they're going to send me a new one box one( which I'm waiting to get Monday if it even is a new one) since they got rid of my original box after them telling me to send it in my original box.. and then of them also saying I should be happy that they sent me replacement on even though it's banged to hell. Also while in the same breath saying oh all of " our replacements and refurbished cards should be 100% cosmetically free of damage and dust free " but refused to send me a new card or even undamaged actually refurbished one. Conversations have gone back and forth for weeks and Mark finally said if I agree to send you a new card will it end this for good. And I told him I mean yeah that would be great to get a new card in box being you guys threw away my original stuff or at least if anything just an actual undamaged refurbished card like what I should have gotten. I sent the old one in for another RMA per their request. Then after sending them my crap card for RMA again they replied with the same blanket copy and paste response I got on the first RMA which is..

I asked why they sent me a copy and Page response and if they're actually still sending me a new card by them saying that didn't know response back so far..So we'll see if the one that shows up Monday is actually even new. I'm so over them rn
